Deron Williams vs. Chris Paul has always been a giant argument on who's better...now that both are healthy this year, who do you think has been doing better?

D-Will: 22.7 PPG, 9.8 APG, 4.0 RPG, 3.3 TPG, 1.4 SPG shooting 48/34/86
CP3: 15.8 PPG, 10.4 APG, 4.4 RPG, 2.5 TPG, 3.2 SPG shooting 49/47/91

Utah Jazz: 17-8, 1st in the division, 4th in the West
New Orleans Hornets: 14-8, 3rd in the division*, 6th in the West
*The Hornets' division is super beast

Head-to-head:
D-Will vs. CP3: 9-18 (50%) FG, 4-5 (80%) 3P, 4-4 (100%) FT. 26 points, 11 assists, 3 rebounds, 5 turnovers, 5 steals

CP3 vs. D-Will: 4-8 (50%) FG, 1-3 (33%) 3P, 8-8 (100%) FT. 17 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 turnover, 5 steals

Bellinelli has had a nice shooting season thus far, and his defense has improved, but Raja Bell is like a much more defensive minded Bellinelli. And defense wins championships. And stuff.

Utah SF = Andrei Kirilenko.
New Orleans SF = Trevor Ariza.

These players are extremely similar, in that both are defensive minded players but can also contribute offensively. Kirilenko has a better shooting touch, but Ariza is more explosive.

Advantage: tie.

Utah PF = Paul Millsap.
New Orleans PF = David West.

Pretty much the same exact person. West = 19 PPG, 7 RPG, 2 APG. Millsap = 17 PPG, 8 RPG, 2 APG. Basically like comparing Visa and MLK Jr. Both are extremely influential on America today.

Advantage: tie.

Utah C = Al Jefferson
New Orleans C = Emeka Okafor.

Pretty much two completely different people. Jefferson = 16 PPG, 9 RPG, 1.7 APG. Okafor = 11 PPG, 10 RPG, 2 BPG. Jefferson isn't an offensive player from the stone age like Okafor is, but on the other hand, Jefferson is like a stone on defense.

Advantage: Jefferson by a tiny bit because he's so much more offensively developed than Okafor. Is that even a word?

So basically, your only credible argument for CP3 being better than D-Will (besides stats, accomplishments, etc.) is that Deron has arguably the best coach in the game and CP3 has to put up with goddamn Monty Williams.

Chris Paul never had that, yet in 2008 made his team second best in the West, while Williams has better role players.

he had mo pete,peja,west,and tha pargo guy (he was sick)they were straight raw in 08 ( in shooting the ball terms) and tyson was a beast back then not taking anything away from paul tho because that team wasnt THAT good.

It was a mutual thing..cp3 made them better and on the real..they made cp3 better
