Deron Williams: A Good MVP Contender

Well the jazz have been playing great as of late and are 4th in the west but when i checked NBA.com's MVP race Deron wasnt even on it. Acording to the MVP formula shouldnt deron be a strong contender cause his team is doing well and he has good stats, doesnt blow u away but good stats

Deron isn't even playing as good as last year...

If there is anyone who deserves to be mentioned among MVPs....it has to be Durant....

D - Will shouldn't even be talked about as an MVP contender. There is no way in hell he can be a top 10 based on this season.

He hasn't been hurt that much...he's played 43 out of the 48 games by Utah

But as for MVP, he can be in the low top 10s, but not above Lebron/Kobe/Wade/Melo/Nash

Im just saying cause the MVP is mainly based on team record and Utah is playing pretty well right now and Williams is getting a solid 19 and 10.

Ahh, I see.

I just assumed he was injured more often that that this season.
But I agree, he isn't above those guys you mentioned with regards to MVP race.

Deron Williams is for sure a Top 10 MVP candidate.The place that i would give for him is shomewhere between 6-10

Duncan
Howard
Bosh
JJ

Either Williams or Nash belongs here. Nash's stats are better (much better), so I'm inclined to put him, not Williams. Williams has a lot of good players on his team, with Okur, Boozer, Brewer, Millsap, Kirlienko, and Miles. None of these guys are poor players. Tough to leave Nash off and put D-Will on.

Yes,he is a good MVP Contender.He wasn't so good this season cause he wasn't 100%healthy.

The MVP race top 10 is just used to show which players are playing good this year in terms of combining stats,team leadership and talent.

But in all honesty there are only 3 guys on that list who are actually going to be contending for it.
