Deron Williams-Chris Paul argument

Deron Williams vs. Chris Paul has always been a giant argument on who's better...now that both are healthy this year, who do you think has been doing better?

D-Will: 22.7 PPG, 9.8 APG, 4.0 RPG, 3.3 TPG, 1.4 SPG shooting 48/34/86
CP3: 15.8 PPG, 10.4 APG, 4.4 RPG, 2.5 TPG, 3.2 SPG shooting 49/47/91

Utah Jazz: 17-8, 1st in the division, 4th in the West
New Orleans Hornets: 14-8, 3rd in the division*, 6th in the West
*The Hornets' division is super beast

Head-to-head:
D-Will vs. CP3: 9-18 (50%) FG, 4-5 (80%) 3P, 4-4 (100%) FT. 26 points, 11 assists, 3 rebounds, 5 turnovers, 5 steals

CP3 vs. D-Will: 4-8 (50%) FG, 1-3 (33%) 3P, 8-8 (100%) FT. 17 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 turnover, 5 steals

Utah won 105-87

Hopefully this turns into a heated argument with many swears and death threats.

I think you could make legitimate case for both but i'd pick Deron Williams

Im going with CP3,

As for scoring He could score more if he wanted.
Deron has more talent around him yet cp3 has the better team,as seen before.
Cp3 is better n almost every catagory other than scoring
Deron can rely on Better players
While cp3,Doesnt have AS MUCH talen as deron..

The system that Deron Williams plays in and Cp3 play,it's totally different and more difficult.If D-Will was asked to score more and create more on the dribble then use the pick n'roll,he'd post as good as Paul's stats if not better

He has gone much deeper in the playoffs and when old,Billups went on to post up Paul,he was destroyed and shut down.Denver tried that same plan with Utah and made D-Will to post up Chancey and was a wrong idea.Instead,Sloan forced D-Will more in the post and he recorded 24/11/5 in that series if i'm not wrong.Oh,yeah,that's without two star players injured.

I haven't watched Pual much this year so i don't have a completely clear view on who's better.
Based on the numbers and what I've seen from Deron and slightly Paul I'd say Deron is doing better.

This is actually a very interesting comparision

A few years ago CP3 was on a team with limited talent, and he carried that team on his back and got them into being 2nd in the western conference while tht same year D-Will was on a better team than Paul and his team was 4th, and Deron wasnt putting up better stats than Paul, but he was shooting better

Now the tables are completely turned lol!

Personally if I had to choose Id go with Paul :bball:

It's not much of a debate to me.

I know head to head Deron slightly beats or is just slightly under Paul in multiple categories and in terms of wins... in 15 matches Deron and the Jazz have won 12 to Paul and the Hornets 3.

Paul's biggest advantage is steals, but that hasn't translated to wins against Deron.

Deron is my MVP of this season so far.

Chris Paul... not so much. I wasn't a big believer in their hot start... now the Hornets have cooled off as much as any team.

Plus,he didn't got destroyed from Billups

Deron. Paul's numbers would still be pretty high if they weren't limiting his minutes, but even if CP3 was playing 4 more minutes, I'd take Williams.
