Would you say that Deron Williams is the best Point Guard in the NBA now or not?

If you think that he isn't the best PG explain,

Yes he's the best PG in the NBA, He's bigger ( sorry kids...basketball isnt for small people), Has higher basketball IQ, Is a better shooter and turns broken down plays into 2 points,better passer.

Deron Williams is not playing good basketball this year. His shooting is down, his turnovers are up. Yikes. Paul is still better on a game to game basis than Williams. Hes hurt right now, but there is not doubt that Paul is a better playmaker. He can shoot the three, hes quicker, and is a great finisher in the lane, as well as being a great ballhandler and smooth passer.

no of course not. thats why he always averages more assists than williams, more points, and a higher shooting percentage.

I think that Deron Williams is the best Point Guard in the NBA now.He's excellent playmaker,shooter,passer,improved defender and leader.Plus he drives to the rim like crazy which is good for the Jazz.

Paul isn't good shooter,Williams can defend some bigger guards and Paul cannot although his all around game is awsome

Williams could average waaay more assist the CP3, See, CP3 has players like okafor,peja,devin, who don't dribble, All they do is catch and shoot or pick and roll. Dwill has boozer,kerilenko and okur, Guys who put the ball down a few time and create there own shots thus dwill doesnt get an assist, even with that williams gets 9 assist per game. Despite what the stat sheet says williams gets more asssist. And even so that has nothing to do with playmaking ability..do you even know what that is?

He could lead the league in APG this season and will finish over 11 APG this year

I don't think so, He still has boozer and AK47.

I still say D-Will is the best PG in the NBA, CP3 really relies on lobs.
D=Will is hte better PG, but CP3 is the better player overall.

hmmmm, Nash doesn't play any kind of defense though.

Not to mention, his offensive stats are always boosted a bit from the Run N Gun

Best floor vision, but when it comes to PG's thats about it imo

Career wise: Paul has better stats, and has also played better IMO...
CP3 never had anyone to lean back upon...and had to carry the whole team on his back ever since he was drafted...
Sure he had some good shooters around him...but that nearly isn't enough....

On the other hand...Deron is bigger and can guard players better...
But thats the only thing he has on Paul....
Deron also has the luxury off leaning on Boozer, Okur, and several other solid players....not to mention Jerry Sloan who always seems to be able to put his PGs in a great career path...

2009-10 season wise: CP3 destroys, oblilerates, annihalites Deron Williams....

CHRIS PAUL IS BETTER THAN DERON WILLIAMS

I would take Paul over Williams in a heartbeat because of what he brings to the table in comparison to Williams.

Id take Williams in a heartbeat over Paul because of the same reasons SRF has listed, but in reverse. I'd take neither of them as the best overall PG's in the NBA. Although, with time I think the future it'll be Williams. I still say it's this.
