| He''ll be up there with the great overseas players to come to the NBA, Dirk, kobe, jose, and alot others i just cant think righ now.
He very well could be a bust...or he could become a star. We really shouldnt even be having rubio conversations until he plays in the NBA..no one really knows hat rubio wil do. But i watched rubio all last season and the little bit of playing time he did get (19 mins) what he did in that little time is amazing. his numbers might not be outstanding but he's like D-rose was in college. The offense just DOES NOT work without him on the floor.

I'll say Kobe is an American player with a considerable amount of Italian influence. After all, Italian is his second language. Same would go for Joe Alexander of the Milwaukee Bucks who is a Taiwanese born White American raised in China most of his life, and not surprisingly, Mandarin is his language.

| The answer to this, we will never know.
I think that for him it's just another thing to add to his "amazing" "Steve Nash-esque" basketball profile.

| Overhyped? no. Rubio is a good player. Overrated? Yes, but mostly by himself. He is a good player. 18 years old starting on the National Squad is good in any country, but he thinks he's a Top 5 PG All-Time. Just not true. Obviously, he doesn't know the difference between NBA ball and Euro ball
I am starting not to like the word "overhyped". Media coverage doesn't mean anything. People are entitled to their opinion in any quantity.

| He averaged 10 points and 6 assists in Europe, where it's not nearly as physical, fast, athletic, or basically as good.
Sorry, but that doesn't scream out GOAT to me...
