| Why did he feel it was insulting? If you want to be a high draft pick, you WILL get picked to a bad team | |

| All he's doing is hurting his reputation, especially if he returns to the NBA this year. | |

| all of you guys need to look at the facts. He said he doesnt have a problem playing in mennesota he said the problem is with his buyout. It will cost him 6 million $ of his own money for him to come over hear, This wouldnt have been a problem if he would have went as a higher pick in the draft, higher pick= more money=no problem with buyout. What he can do is simply wait until next year and get " Re drafted" Because he will probably go igher next year | |

| I doubt any of you guys have watched rubio play other than in the olympics. Rubio isnt even Bust material. Anyone ho predicts rubio will bust doesnt know what it takes to be a good PG in the NBA. Rubio has EVERYTHING needed to be a GREAT PG in the NBA. | |

This. except I would say it in a less harsh way. The man is gonna be good. I really want to see him get traded to the Knicks or something... so he can end up like Steve Nash... Seriously. This kid is gonna flourish in the NBA. Try all-star andCP3, D-Will and Rose.. he's gonna be the best PG after those three(and maybe Russell Westbrook)

| Rubio gets so much hype because of his "great performance" at the Olympics. And quite honestly, it wasn't such a great performance. In 8 games played Rubio averaged 4 PPG and 3 APG in 18.5 minutes played per game. Is that really worthy of a number 2 overall draft pick?
And yes, I did watch him in the Olympics also.

And yes, I did watch him in the Olympics also. He IS only 18 and that's against the US's VERY best competition... A great passer, a great ballhandler... learn to shoot and he's gonna be amazing.

| He played two games vs. the US. 6 other games were against foreign countries. And although I will say Rubio IS a great passer and ballhandler, he's not the greatest shooter and he doesn't have the ability to completely take over the game (yet). | |

| Even he has all the potential in the world and can potentially be a force to be reckoned with once he settles into the NBA, that doesn't give him an excuse to be such a douchebag and be picky about what team he wants to be a part of. Many of the NBA's greats have been through adversity before they became the player they are/were today.
For instance, Kobe was in Charlotte (not a very good team) before he became a part of the Lakers championship run - now look at his career. KG was in Minnesota (achieved moderate success) for years until he went to the Celtics and won a championship. Paul Pierce is the best example because he was with the Celtics through the good and the bad until they finally won a championsip in 2008.
The point is, Rubio cannot expect instant success in the NBA; sometimes, it does take a bit of time.

| Brett Favre even started off as a clumsy bad QB. Look where he is now (when you look aside all the retirements) | |

Steve Francis did the same thing and look where he is now; he hasn't even achieved much success in the NBA and no one really remembers him anymore. I see your perspective but I still think Rubio is a douchebag
