Today is the WNBA Draft. And not surprisingly, Maya Moore was #1, and is expected to be John Wall times 1,000 for the Minnesota Lynx, nuff said. At #2, Tulsa picked Australian center Liz Cambage who is the most compelling international player since Lauren Jackson 10 years ago. At #3, Gonzaga guard Courtney Vandersloot who averaged 20 ppg and 10 apg in college was selected for the Chicago Sky.

On a side note, all three wore dresses and are def. not butch, haha. Congratulations to the new picks.

King, Griner will be pro in 2013, same year Skylar Diggins will go pro (the Notre Dame chick). WNBA rules require that Americans or college players must be four years out of school before becoming pro.

I agree. This year's WNBA rookie class unlike some previous years was made up of quite a few ladies who don't fit the butch stereotype of female athletes (better than me saying worse words). Maya to me looks hotter than Candace. Photos from draft day:

Cambage will have a tall SF with Kayla Pederson who was picked 7th in the Draft, and she's from Stanford
