Yeah I just watched it on ESPNNEWS. I feel bad for the guy and hope he gets better. He could be one of the NBA's best if he lives up to his potential.

I feel horrible for him.
It's the pressure to succeed that most likely got to him.
As soon as you step into the NBA (especially if you were drafted so early), there is a whole lot of pressure exerted on you to play your best. Even if you have a bad first season, some people automatically write you off as a draft bust.

He may be an NBA superstar and all, but he is still a young adult. I could not imagine having so much responsibility at that age (I still live with my mom and don't pay bills, lol) and Beasely must have had to deal with media pressure as well as a crapload of other responsibilities dumped on him (e.g. financial, image-wise, etc). Sometimes being well-known in the public eye and that pressure to achieve instant success can most likely be too much to handle.

I hope he gets better; depression is something difficult to overcome.
