| McDyess is averaging 6 and 4 off the bench. I'd definitely think T-Mac belongs on the ballot much more than McDyess. At least T-Mac is likely to be at least 14, 4, and 4 when he comes back. | |

| That's true, I don't think he belongs there either.
But TMac is the worst one imo. That's just... ugh

| Yup, I don't think either men are deserving of making the all-star ballot. But my point is, it was a mistake to include T-Mac as a potential candidate when there are more deserving players. | |

| It was a worse mistake to include McDyess though, since there is actually a chance that McGrady WILL put up All Star numbers. | |

| Jaleesa is right, his name shouldn't have been considered when there are players who are actually playing well right now. | |

| IDK about not being considered. If he came back and averaged 20, 5, and 5, then the argument would go the other way. McDyess best potential is 8 and 8. | |

| Keyword: If (aha, again I use that phrase).
The fact of the matter is, there are other players RIGHT NOW who are playing better that deserve some consideration.

Some players are proving themselves now.

| Like Gasol? its the same thing. Gasol is on the ballot, so should McGrady, who is a perennial All Star. You're right, McDyess is proving now that he doesn't belong. A guy with a shot to actually do well deserves it much more than a guy doing particularly awful as the 3rd guy off a team's bench. | |

| but McDyess is more awful of a nomination than McGrady. I agree that McGrady shouldn't be there, but McDyess is even less deserving. | |

| McGrady might be able to surpass McDyess' numbers in one game...
Gasol doesn't have any numbers either. Why should he be included then?

| No one said Gasol should be included. If they haven't played, don't include them.. that's what I think. | |

But...but...if they haven't played...then they wouldn't be tired when the All-Star Game comes so Blake Griffin would be a beast... Khai found a loophole

| But why does it really many if you are "prepared" or not for the all-star game? It is not like the guys take the game seriously. For instance, no one even plays defense - hence why the final score is often pretty high. | |

| if they haven't played then they don't deserve to play in the all star game lol. In this case, TMac has been out of it for much longer than Gasol has. AT LEAST we saw Gasol in the playoffs and in the preseason | |

| Because they always... ALWAYS include the #1 pick on the All-Star ballot.
They need to change the ballots. Making it computer voting only and pick players for the All-Star ballot a month before the All-Star game.
Chris Kaman may not make the All-Star game but it's stupid that he's not on the West centers. Same with Joakim Noah for the Bulls. Even if you don't like either player, they've been putting up really good numbers.
