His legacy as the Mason Man will always be remembered. Though Miami doesn't have the biggest arena, it has a bigger budget, and it is a more prestigious school than Mason, so though most major conference candidates think this job is garbage, only Larranaga believes that this heaven compared to what he has at Mason.

What a steal for Miami got a great coach that will help bring some talent to South Beach. If johnson returns they got a chance to make the NCAA Tournament having solid players like Malcon Grant and Durand Scott at Guards

They just hired Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt at George Mason. Hewitt recruits talent well buit coaches it poorly despite having talent at Georgia Tech never did much except for 2004. George Mason will have talent next year and its a school that he can recruit talent but he's not a very good head coach as his Georgia Tech years if you subtract 2004 have shown

The problem with Hewitt at Georgia Tech was that he was able to recruit players but many of them left after a year or two, and he wasn't able to run his team very well.

At Mason, though I think he can bring even better recruits to Northern Virginia than Larranaga did, it's also imperative that he develop players over the long haul, and that's the Mason Way.

That is true players like Favors, Thaddeus Young, and Javaris Crittenton were one and dones.

Still made it only to the 2nd Round in 2010 and lost in the 1st Round in 2007 once the senior class of Final Four players and Jarret Jack left.

At George Mason players will stay longer more than likely and hell have a chance to have them longer. Still has been an underachiever with talent and had teams playing sloppy ball alot of turnovers and bad shots even after timeouts. Hes players who made the NBA stick around like Gani Lawal, and Anthony Morrow without producing much as well. Georgia Tech was a miserable ACC road team and 2004 was only time they finished over .500 in ACC play.

I do wish him luck though and like George Mason. Just wasn't working out at Georgia Tech. He did alright at Siena maybe he needs to be back in the mid major ranks
