Rutgers University apparently has had enough for their men's basketball coach and are trying to buy him out. Only problem is that he wants more dough. This is another NYC/Philly area school that should be attracting more talent that it has, so the next coach better be a New Yohkuh oh uh Joyzee Native or at least well versed here for recruiting. At least get a guy who is from Big East territory. Maybe Tulsa Coach Doug Wojcik is a possibility here? He's from Wheeling, West Virginee though.

The Knights haven't seen an NCAA bid since 1991. Best player ever is probably Eddie Jordan. Someone call the 76'ers and see if he wants the job. Or hell, ask Vivian Stringer, a hall of fame coach! I think she earned the right of first refusal.

KONJ, any thoughts?

Looks like Eddie Jordan IS interested. Maybe he's about to get fired from Philly too, but it's not really his fault per se.

Rutgers mostly needs somebody that can recruit

the problem is they haven't recruited well outside of getting Mike Rosario who was a big time prospect. They just simply dont' have the talent to compete right now

I think bringing Al Skinner into Rutgers would be a good thing. He did a good job at Boston College when they were in the Big East. He knows how to win and recruit Big East talent and knows the in and outs of the conference

I think Rutgers should go after Al Skinner to try to ressurect a bottom feeding basketball program

I wonder who they will get to replace him.. I like Fraschilla for the position. I found an article with a list of the candidates http://blogs.msg.com/gameon/2010/04/09/on-the-hardwood-top-candidates-for-rutgers/ guy has some pretty good points..

I'd say Fraschilla, Skinner, and Eddie Jordan are the top candidates. Gaudio also should be in the mix.
