He just broke an Orlando Magic franchise playoff record set by T-Mac for most points scored in 1 half. T-Mac with 28, DH12 with 30 and there's still a little more time left.His teammates need to step up though.

And yet, the Magic are losing by 7 at the half. Ewing Theory's in effect!

also, one way to beat the magic is to score more points than them.

Dirk Nowitzki going for 40 tonight I think and 12 rebounds. He averages 11 RPG in the playoffs for his career. Dallas may still lose though....series will go 6 or 7

the chance of Dirk scoring 40 in a playoff game period is low. In 100 playoff games, he's gone over 40 five times.

He averaged like in the mid 30's against Denver...And scored 40 twice in it...I think he can go for it

I don't doubt that, but I think Portland has the type of defense (fast long SF's, mobile PF's, and Camby) that will make Dirk work for his points. Dirk will need his teammates to make it so that Dirk doesn't have to attempt for 40 or more points.
