dwight howard overrated?

I mean..everybodys talking about how he will be considered for mvp this year..like WTF? He's an ok rebounder,no post moves,CANT SHOOT ft'S and gets 3bpg (which i admit is good) but mcgee gets alot of blocks too..should he be MVP? To me dawite is nothing more than a brendan haywood..but atleast brEndan has some post moves...should he be MVP?

Visa stop being dumb. Even if you don't think he should be considered for MVP, your argument fails when you compare him to Haywood and McGee. Neither of them has ever averaged 10 rebounds or 10 points throughout an entire season, let alone a 20 point, 10 rebound double double.

Dwight is the best player on a championship contending team. Haywood doesn't even start for Dallas. McGee, well, this is his best season so far and he's averaging 7 points and 7 rebounds. Real special.

Dwight Howard has been the league's best rebounder the past two years, along with being the best shot blocker. He's 4th in BPG and 7th in RPG, but that should change since it's only 7 games into the season.

He is shooting 57.6 percent from the floor, and of players who shoot 14 or more shots a game, only Nowitzki (56.7) and Millsap (60.7) have a better FG%.

Not to mention, he IS the leader of the Magic. He is what people call "vocal". Watch him play defense, it's not only shot blocking and defending the paint, it's yelling out to his teammates helping them out.

He has a jumper now. He can shoot. Not really mid-range, but borderline of what people call "mid-range" and "short" jumpers. Has a great back-to-basket offense now. Can use his left and right, can use hook shots, lay-ups, and real short jumpers, but best of all, can finish at the rim with a dunk.

Not to mention he is the best player on the Orlando roster, who, at the moment, are the #1 seed in the East.

1. Dwight howard is a poor FT shooter. Correct
2. Howard is a good shot blocker... so u got that right.
3. The NBA today is kinda weak downlow. [which has been used before to knock DH. but it still doesn't take away anything DH has done]

Dirk doesn't play D, isn't a solid shot blocker, not a great passer, can't get as many rebounds as Howard even though he's taller... would u consider him overrated? cuz he won the MVP few years ago.
