The Wizards being 0-22 on the road so far this season

The Cavs having a 20 game losing streak this season. [it's at 19.. but they play ORL next]

The Spurs being the first team in the NBA to win 40 games. [they're at 39... but they'll hit 40 first]

*ANSWER based on your thoughts about these teams before the season started

My case for why all 3 are surprising to me:

Wizards- Before the season started, the wizards had a decent roster. Not a definite playoff roster.... but they looked like a team that could win at least 35 games without too much trouble. And the Wizards 13-10 record at home this season proves that they CAN win games... which is why I'm pretty surprised that they haven't even won a road game.

Cavs- I don't think I had them making the playoffs this season... but I thought they would be in position to fight for a playoff spot. I don't think I was really expecting them to be THIS bad... and I never thought they would have a losing streak like this.

Spurs- I thought the spurs would struggle getting 50 this year. From what Ican remember reading... not a lot of people thought they would be much better than an 8th seed in the west. So yeah... being the first to win 40 is pretty surprising.

The Spurs being the first team in the NBA to win 40 games. The Wizards and Cavs are terrible so their losing streaks are not that surprising.

The Cavs, yes. The Wizards, eh I didn't think they would be this bad tbh... But I thought the Spurs were gonna be like 5 - 7th seed or something.

I think I said that DURING the season... You asked for an answer based on your thoughts about these teams before the season started... and my thoughts about the Cavs before the season started is that they were gonna suck. So hop off Steve...

so you went from thinking they would suck to thinking they were gonna be maybe the 7th seed in a matter of two weeks? interesting.

yeah.. I thought John Wall would actually help lead the wizards to a few exra victories. I thought getting Kirk would help. I thought Blatche/Javale would make a little bigger impact. I guess not.

Maybe it did.... They could still suck and be 7th - 8th seed since they're in the weak east. Even if I did think they'd be 7th seed I would still say the Spurs have been more surprising..

last year the Bobcats were the 7th seed in the east and they had 44 wins... so 2 weeks into the season if you believed that the cavs would be the 7th seed, you thought there was a chance they could win around 44 games.

but now they're on pace to win no more than 15...

so they went from a playoff team in your eyes to the worst team in the league in about 2 months and that isn't surprising to you?

If anything.. i think people were underestimating the Spurs. They've been consistently good the past 10 years... the biggest difference entering this season is that they were actually healthy. Seems like people overlooked that.

Wizards' road struggles - I didn't think the Wizards would be doing this poorly on the road, but cmon..it IS the Wizards.

Cavs suck - I thought the Cavs could still get around 35ish wins once Lebron left...but then Shaq left..and Big Z left..and Varejao got injured..and Hickson got injured...and Mo missed a couple games...yeah.

Spurs dominance - A lot of people (including me) were starting to write off the Spurs this year...but WOW. They are tearing up the league and everyone is doing their part. They have more wins before the all-star break than many teams in the league will finish the year with.

I'm going Spurs. I had them at like the 7th seed, but now they're back to their championship-contending ways.

What if these stuff dont happen? What if Spurs get on a 20 game losing skid,

Cavs win Orlando, and Wizards win there next Road game?

well.. nothing is gonna change the Wizards being 0-22 on the road at this point... cuz they just are.

I HIGHLY doubt the spurs go on a losing ttreak that long.

Nothing tells me the Cavs can win tonight. They have won 1 game in 2 months against the Knicks in OT.

hey..

remember when you were pissed that the cavs coule be fighting for a playoff spot? And when I said "the cavs are in a horrible position. If they make the playoffs, they'll get knocked out by the first seed in 4 games. If they miss the playoffs, they get a horrible pick because they JUST missed the playoffs." ........Cuz that's when I had the cavs missing the playoffs... but I thought they would put up a fight

at least you don't have to worry about that... cuz the cavs will get a good pick Very Happy

hahaha

We will get fucked in the ass with the lottery. We'll get stuck with Barnes probably. He's gonna suck.

I think the Cavs are the biggest surprise, because i thought they would be a playoff team

But on the other side about the Spurs, not even the biggest Spurs fans could imagine them doing so fine
