I don't care to start a debate because this isn't a quick thing like the me vs jal thing, something like this could go for weeks... I did some research and if you cared about what you beleived in, you would too. numbers don't match and there is too much stuff that doesn't make sense IMO. Dig a little deeper and you might just discover that its not " Just so obvious"..including your religion.. I don't beleive in evolution either btw .well not most of it. After Germany lost WW2 American soldiers actually saw the death camps and many dead Jews... and there are still survivors of the holocaust like Elie Wiesel alive who have talked about it... But honestly, of the crowd I know, people talk about the holocaust like it was the apocalypse. A lot of the people I know aren't, persay, brainwashed, but rather taught from an early age that Israel is beast, Jews are the best, etc. I wasn't part of that because I came from Israel at age 6 and I knew that stories about how Israel is the best country of all time aren't true, at least IMO, cause I liked canada better. We spend at least 10 lessons a month discussing judaism, yet many people I know (especially old israeli teachers, lol) are completely blind to what happened in Rwanda, Armenia, and what is happening in Darfur. They know it's happening, but they don't care. I have done 3 major projects on the Armenian Genocide, countless essays about every possible perspective on that genocide, and I can say that Hitler got many of his ideas and much of his confidence from the Armenian Genocide. He saw that the genocide was near-condoned in the western world, and thought the holocaust would be the same. I even called a US politician named Speaker Pelosi to convince him to schedule a vote on the armenian genocide resolution (wasn't a personal call, more like a phone protest thing). The things that happened in that genocide were atrocious, but were often overshadowed by the Holocaust, which was of course worse, but still. The thing is, in the US there are 6.5 million Jews, as opposed to about 1.27 people of Armenian Descent. That is why the Armenian Genocide is less known, because there are less who can discuss it. And that's why I am an activist in this area as much as I am in the holocaust.
