Random poem, random user

The first time I met you, I thought you were nice
You were a break from the craziness, your thoughts were concise
After a couple weeks, I told you something I hadn't thought I would before
You didn't take it well, it seemed like you were floored
Eventually it worked out, I just don't know if it was well
I hope that that is something that neither of us would like to dwell
Things have been rocky, I want to make sure it's okay
If we were no longer friends, it would be to my dismay

Airplanes

Airplanes in the night sky – need to take me away
Make things like I dreamed they would be – back in the day
Sometimes I catch myself wishing some things were changed
That I could just see an airplane in the sky and they would rearrange
They look like shooting stars but they just aren’t
What is real and what is imagined are worlds apart
You’re not always gonna get what you hoped you would
But if you work your ass off there’s always the chance you could
Nothing is ever gonna be just right
Life is a roller coaster – you better hold on tight
Work hard – do well – get what you can
And when the time comes stand up and be a real man
Don’t end up looking back at what you wished you could be
Thinking that you could have ended up just like me
Or him – or her – or them – or they
Imagining that your life didn’t have to be this way

The one thing I know for sure about life
Is nothing ever happens without any strife
You take it as it comes and you make lemonade
Drive it in and dish it out like Dwyane Wade
Everyone – everywhere – has got things to live with
A perfect life – is only a myth
Like Cinderella – it’s just a childhood fairytale
But no matter how big the problem – you can always prevail
I see too many people just wishing they could run away
Jet off into the air and deal with it some other day
That kind of attitude will never get anything done
You’ll stress so much you’ll never have any fun
Or worse yet you’ll never find true happiness
And end up with little to no success
Sometimes I wish I could run far away too
Instead I deal with it like everyone should
Everyone wishes life was always caviar and champagne
But the experiences are too good for you to catch me – hopping on that airplane

Please excuse me while I got take shower in a somber like mode as a display of my emotional state after reading such a moving poem lol. Not a good way to begin a day all feeling gloomy and such

Crazy Incredibly bored...so yeah I wrote for the first time in a while. Decided I might was well revive this old thread. Its mine anyway. Just a random instrumental and starting writing to it
