I wanna know how good the RBT members are at shooting

Any time you can, I want all of you to go to a basketball park and do some shooting drills.

1. Jumpshooting: Have a friend with you to get rebounds. Start at one edge of the free throw line and take a jumpshot. Then go to the other end and shoot. Have your friend get your rebounds and keep giving you the ball. Take 20 shots. Then, let your friend have a turn shooting and you rebounding. It has to be fast paced, no walking and taking 3 seconds to square up. Do 5 sets of this to get 100 shots total. Take how many you made and that's your FG%

2. Go to the free throw line and take 20 free throws. Again, have a friend rebound for you. Then let them shoot and you rebound until you both have shot 100 free throws. The amount you made is your FT%. You can take your time on this one

3. Go to the corner on the three point line. Take a shot. Then, move to the spot between the top and the corner (idk what it's called) and take a shot. Then, move to the top, then the other spot between the top and the corner, and then to the opposite corner and take a shot at each of them. Then, shoot again at the corner you're at and make your way back around. Take 20 shots and then give your friend a turn and shoot a total of 100 shots. The amount you make is your 3P%. This one is also fast paced and don't take time to square up

Share your results here. My friend showed me these drills the other day and they're pretty fun. Here were my results:

FG%: 45
FT%: 81
3P%: 27 (lol...)

FG%: 100
FT%: 100
3PT%: 100



Well, I'm going again later today, but I did a similar thing at the park almost a week ago with a friend of mine. I hit 34 of 80 jumpshots, 42 of 50 free throws, and 9 of 30 threes.

So...

FG: 42.5% (definite room for improvement)
FT: 84% (I'm okay with that)
3PT: 30% ()

I'll do these when I can

People will lie about this. Oh and I am a terrible ft shooter, but a pretty good 3 pt shooter and a good midrange shooter. Why can't you jump on the freethrow :crying:

You can jump on freethrows,if you want.

too risky, cant go over line

you can go over the line...As long as the shot came from behind the line.

As the shooter, you can't set foot in front of the line before the shot touches the rim. Too risky...

Okay I'll do this.

But I can tell you right now my numbers are gonna be high.

I'm a very good shooter... esp. when no one is on me.

i got to 85 shots of each before i got chased away by mosquitos.

it was about 50% from both FT and FG and like 30% from 3P

I have huge trouble with FTs so i can see how ryan did

i was too lazy.
plus i was at the park for like 5 hours already before i went back to do this.

i did 25 3-pt (5 from 5 different spots: top of key, two corners, in between), for FG i did all mid-range catch-and-shoots, i did like 25, for FTs i already take 100 a day. im up to 89 of 100 from 62 out of 100 a week ago

3-pt: 64% (i make a whole shitload of shots by myself, but when ppl are defending me my stats go down, obviously, lol)
FG: 64% (what i dont get is how i made 16 3 pt's AND 16 mid-range jumpers, lol)

FT: 89%

yyea its bad. its odd tho, that whenever i was playing in a game or my coach was making us run liners for every one missed, i seemed to make them all. maybe im just lazy while practicing. i was also shooting by myself so i was chasing down the ball. still bad. oh well.

I'm a great 3pt shooter. I can consistently hit from anywhere on the court and NBA range. If you leave me open its dropping. If you don't believe me ask Tony EM for real lol

Never did 100 before today though..

I did 50 and got 45.. so I just went with 90/100 hahaha

You know what....this is making me feel like getting my lazy butt off the laptop and just putting some shoes one and going to my back hard to shoot =).

Nahhh too lazy , I don't evev know if we have a basketball in the backyard n my lola will get in the way =).
