I don't think the Princeton a/k/a the Wizards offense fit Philly well at all. Jordan wasn't given much of a chance and he didn't adapt much either. This does make Rutgers salivate some more about taking him for the job though.

I think Jordan was a decent coach with us, but we used him as a scapegoat when crap happened in the 2008-09 season and Ernie told him to suck a llama's dick. In the NBA, players are extremely hard to fire, but coaches don't enjoy that same union protection. After all, the Wizards can't fire Gil even though he should have been.

I think he can be a great hire. He would be a huge presence recruiting wise in the DC area especially since he is from the area and was the Wizards coach for many years in today's world of instant gratification. He will also need solid NYC and Philly assistants who know those areas, because though he's from Rutgers, he isn't a NY or a Philly man. A good number of NBA coaches who went down to college have been quite successful but most of those guys were previously in college too.

Good decision.

I kinda felt that he was slightly overrated as a coach but that is my own personal opinion.
