What do the Knicks do... if they dont get a big name

They cant get Lebron or D-Wade
(which i truely reackon they wont)
i dont see lebron leaving his hometwn
and i see d-wade joining his hometown in chi-twn

Gallinari + Ray = Lights out shooting team, just with those two.

It will be Bosh (if not try making a run for Yao)
It will be either Johnson, Rudy Gay (preferably), Manu (I'd love it kinda offshoot), or even more off-shoot Dirk (instead of Bosh or Yao).

he can help out lee but that may lead to a problem like the twolves ran into with big al & klove so ill go for a perimeter shooting big man if i was smart...

I think Rudy Gay is a numbers guy. He reminds me of Corey Maggette and thats not a compliment. Joe Johnson is a very good player, but I don't think he'll get you more than 6-7 wins on his own. He's starting to level out as a player. Not going downhill, but he seems like this is what you'll get for the rest of his career. Same with Gay.

If Bosh or Amar'e come to NY... and I'm not to sure that's happening as MIA and CHI look like better destinations to me especially if Wade stays and Chicago is thursty for a post player, but I think the best combo would be Bosh and Joe Johnson. I think those two with the remaining players (sans David Lee... he's not going to be there if Bosh/Amar'e are) could push for the playoffs fo' sho'.

I'm thinking that teams will not make a move for any players until Wade and James have settled their contracts. Then the free agency game will begin. I'm just wondering if Knicks fans outside of Tony will be happy with getting Rudy Gay... or Joe Johnson.

Yao would be a hard get. The market would be great, but he can't fit D'Antoni's playing style.
I think it would be too much for his body to handle and Mike D hasn't should the ability to get slower post players to be successful in his system. Plus, Yao recently admitted to being about 30% healed.

P.S. Dirk is gonna be a Maverick for life.
