Do you think the best of 5 first round format was better?

To me I liked the 5-game series 1st Round format better.

There were more upsets and if a series was boring than it would end quicker. Also a better chance to see a resilient 2-0 comeback.

The 5 game series made the 1st Round much more interesting to me.

In the 7 game series there tend to be less upsets and alot of boring series at times

With the 5 game series format we saw some of our biggest upsets

Everything after the 1st Round as 7 games is fine just dont like it in the 1st Round

Yes, it allowed for more upsets and forced teams to stay focused every game and not take any off.

Yeah I would love to see a 5 game first round series.

I miss the 5 game format.

Stern and the current owners are the reason. They don't give a fuck about the actual product as long as the bottom line is good.

I also like the 7 Game series, it think teams can relax more and rest a bit longer, and if the series is very intense you would want it to be longer and not shorter. Since the Playoffs has only 3 rounds and then the WCF/ECF you want to watch all the games and let the amazing playoff games continue, If a series is boring then you could switch to the other teams that are playing. But most of the time the Playoffs now a days are good because all the teams are fighting for their lives to win games and try to move on the next round.

I think they got more viewers with the 5 game format, but the 7 game format we have now also can provide more viewers because theres a better chance of upset.

And if the series is good enough it will draw more Viewers in aka Chicago-Boston series that broke all the records this year
