So I guess that's why they call it "Rip City". I thought Rip City was Detroit because Rip Hamilton played for the Pistons. But I have no idea what any rip has to do with Portland. Why not call it swoosh city? Isn't Nike near there?

But it must be because fans rip at you for everything that you are in Portland. Yesterday, the Mavericks lost to the Blazers, 101-89, and probably a bunch of Blazers fans who were tipsy decided to do finger guns at Caron at a critical moment in the game, so he said "fuck you" to them. That is my guess on what happened.

That is dumb...

I could understand why he cursed at them; he was (obviously) pissed at the loss and the fact that the fans egged him on...so I don't understand why he was fined...oh well...

Simple, because he was the only Wizards player not shown during the team pre game finger guns and the NBA wanted an excuse to fine him. Now they have their opportunity. Jamison may play with LeBron but if he throws a fruit tray down during a Cavs loss, he'll also get fined by the NBA. I think he already got fined for showing up late to practice because of the Superbowl, so most if not ALL of the Washington Wizards as of January 5, 2010 have been fined, and/or suspended this season.

So a fan can talk as much smack as they want to and players (who are human by the way) can't react? That's stupid.

I don't know if you guys remember Vernon Maxwell charging into the stands because a Portland fan had heckled him over his wife's miscarriage. He got fined by the NBA for that...

Are you F'n serious?!!

If I was next to that same fan, Vernon wouldn't of had to go after him, because I would've been punching the guy for him.
