Surprisingly, Tough Juice isn't being himself.

37:17 MPG, .417 FG% (staggering), 14.2 FGA, .281 3PT%

Is it that he doesn't fit into Flip's approach or could it be the combination of Miller/Foye/Young/& Boykins are stealing his thunder right now, or is he just unmotivated/bad shape? What's his deal right now it's pretty uncharacteristic of the Butler we've grown accustomed to see.

What is really happening is he doesn't fit well in the new offense. The whole team is struggling, but hes been the worst at adapting. It shows both while he is on the court and in his stats. Something needs to change to get him back on track for this season.

When other players aren't performing well...it is sure to rub off on others....
It could be with just the attitude or it could be the opposing defense zoning in on you since your teammates aren't producing anyway....

Arenas chucking up shots with a very very low FG%...

Well as a unit washington is suking and butler really isnt getting the ball as much and the looks he is used to with Arenas playing PG and struggling, Foye and Boykins coming in,etc.

They should get Antonio Daniels back. He used to change the dynamic of the game when subbed in for Arenas he would work on getting guys touches and running the offense correctly and then look for his shot if it's presented. I mean Arenas, Butler, & Jamison aren't good facilitators and it may be their best offensive lineup, but at times the game gets stagnant when they are all in together. Having Daniels or a Daniels type (younger guy) helps share the wealth and speards the floor.

They just need to split up the big 3 IMO

All 3 players can be considered perennial all stars to an extent and the wizards might get some goodp layers out of it.

Caron butler starts every season like this..why do people want to blame the offense?

It's because Caron performs well when he gets in iso mode a lot. The princeton allows him to play like that. The "triangle" zen crap and Flip's traditional PG offense don't. Butler is getting a better feel for this offense so his FG%age should increase as the season goes on.

That's expected because Arenas is back (takes assists away); and his points went down since Mike Miller and Nick Young are also shouldering some more of the scoring load, in addition to Arenas.

Yeah,but he has less assists and has more turnovers :deady:

the TO's are from his uncomfortability with the offense. It'll come down as he gets used to it.

But I will still have to say that Tough Juice's new nickname this season is Fluff Juice, so far.
