Better Raptors team: 06-07 vs. 09-10?

2007 was when the Raps got the #3 seed (although they had the #4 record) and lost to the Nets in the 1st round.

BQ: Do you think the Raptors can crack the Top 4 in the East? There's currently a big gap but they've improved a lot during the season.

I like this team better. The bigs are the same, but more improved and matured, and Jarrett Jack is every bit as good as TJ Ford was then. Plus, their bench then was Kris Humphries, Joey Graham, and Juan Dixon. Now it's Calderon, Wright, DeRozan, and Johnson. THe only problem for them is that the teams in the league are much better now than the were then.

This team. We had a great PG in Ford. But replaced by a more expierienced Calderon and a great Jarret Jack. Raptors can get the 4th seed. Maybe 3rd. Raptors, I have realized can beat any team if they play good.

This team. There is much more talent with this raptors team with calderon,jack,bosh who is nearing his prime,andrea and a good bench with amir and belinelli. Also i think the fact that the east was pretty weak in 06-07 other than detroit kinda was the reason the raps made it to 3rd seed.

I think this year they will get 5 seed. They are starting to mesh well,play defense and hopefully turk can get going.

This team though I kinda miss Jorge Garbajosa; he was explosive coming off the bench for the Raptors. Otherwise, this team has much more depth...the only problem is that the starters do not play defense as well as the bench, lol.

I guess this year's team is better. The East is better as a whole and the Raps are starting to mesh as of late. I guess that also means that we won't see Chris Bosh on the Wizards with Zydrunas Ilguaskas and T-Mac to make our new front court.........

Im hoping your right VISA. And it'll sure suck if the Wiz lose out on Twan' also. I mean he may not be in his prime anymore, but he's the type of talent that can be on his All-Star game even after his prime. I'd say he's a keeper. Gilby ain't at this moment in time. And Caron is underachieving if you were to ask me.

Yes, because at thsi point chicago is a much better championship enviroment!

true but, also the Raptors don't have any cap to get any peices to elevate them any higher than they are now anytime soon.

Also why play in a country where basketball isn't even the most popular sport. They were this good with Vince Carter and he still left.

Chris Bosh wants a max contract and whereever he can get payed the most and still win. Toronto doesn't have cap space to improve this team anymore after highly overpaying Turkoglu and Bargnani

Basketball isn't the most popular sport here either.

Colangelo is in love with bosh though..i wouldn't be surprised if him and whoever the fuck the owner is decide to go oveer the luxery cap and just sign bosh anyway.
