Do you find it weird that the Pistons still manage to make the playoffs in this division?

When you look at the teams that are in here, I wonder how they've consecutively kept making it to the postseason. They lack a lot of players to fill key positions, how have they kept it together?

The Pistons had a great team in the past few years, just not last season. They had Chauncey, Rip, Tayshaun, Sheed, Ben Wallace, Maxiell...they completely dominated the East. Then last season, they sucked and just barely managed to squeak by as an 8th seed with their 39-43 record

i still think that Prince is madd underrated

They were a good team but they got away from defense and lost Chauncey for Iverson. That's like trading a car for a motorcycle: fun to ride but unreliable in a pinch. The Pistons were set in Stuckey being PG for the future having learned from Chauncey but that meant AI and Rip would be sharing starting positions. It just ruined their team not having a low post defensive presence and having 2 two guards not working together. Plus, Stuckey was not ready to take the point.

Stuckey isn't really a good point guard. He jacks up too many bad shots and looks for himself before his teammates

their primary position is shooting guard but they can also make plays
its more different then the traditional point guard

Well they shouldn't have put him there. He does not know how to be a point guard.

If stuckey improves his shooting he can become a better point guard
and they need more of a traditional point guard to run their offense
i say give the guy time and see how it goes

Last season was a fluke for them I think. They only really have RIP there, even Sheed has gone to Boston.

Are you trying to say that they won't do as good next season?

Lost: Allen Iverson, Rasheed Wallace (those are the big names)

Got: Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva, Ben Wallace, Chris Wilcox

And it's not like they dont have any other good players besides Rip that they didn't add this offseason

Still have: Tayshaun Prince, Jason Maxiell, Rodney Stuckey

Rip will probably be traded

prince is underrated

to me stuckey is overrated. people are expecting too much out of him.

btw ben wallace=garbage now.

I agree that Chauncey for Iverson trade was like trading a car for a motorcycle. Fun to ride but unreliable is very true.

The Pistons were still a strong team up until last year . I mean they did have a great lineup until last season. Getting Iverson was the worst thing for that team. This team is no longer the team they were. Although, this team still managed to make it into the playoffs because they always pull together at the end of the game.

For people who don't agree, I went to 5 Pistons games last year and 4 of them they won the game in the 4th quarter. Iverson pulled through against the Oklahoma City Thunder and shot the game winning shot.

The team was still good, but they didn't actually always do as they were suppose to. I think they need to get there team together before they efficiently make there division.

Apparently they didn't pull together enough because they had a losing record. If the East didn't suck, they would be a joke.

The East above 4 was actually great compared to the West this year, but 5 and under seeds kind of sucked.

Pistons Arent What they use to be but. there just getting by.tho its not like there number 3 or 2
