Although he wont be back by next season, it's nice to see that he'll be back sometime. I like Ming, I hope to see him recover and rejoin the NBA as soon as possible.

I had a feeling he wouldn't be coming back this upcoming season... but idk if he would be able to stay healthy the season after that...

I think he will be back next season. But it is sad for the Rockets that he will not play. Now that I think about this Two Questions come thru my mind! Who will be the Western Conference Starting center? Who will play center for Houston with Mutombo retired and Yao injured?

Good to know that he will come back eventually.
My question is: will he be the same as he once was when he comes back?
We have all been witnesses to good players that are hit with significant injuries only to come back as a sub-par player.

The article says he won't be back next season, but can return for the one after next. Center for Houston will probably be Chuck Hayes, or maybe Luis Scola if necessary. As for the Western Conference starting center...I'd like to see it be Bynum, but it's wide open with Yao out.
