Iverson shot like 40% from the field while shooting around 30-35 shots a game, it doesn't matter if it's for the sake of the team, he's still hogging the ball.

It doesn't matter for the sake of the team? I'd rather make the playoffs with Iverson being a "ballhog" then not make the playoffs at all.

Yes, he most certainly was.
It did help the team achieve moderate success but obviously, mainly relying on Iverson to "hog the ball" won't result in a championship victory because it is the best team that wins it all, not who can hog the ball the best.

Iverson having the ball in his hands led to his teams success. Its not like Iverson was hurting his team in anyways. Plus, he didn't really have a second option.

But is ballhogging always a bad thing? Think about it, people loved to watch AI play and it really was a matter of life (making it to the postseason) or death (being a lottery team). They needed a superstar to come in and take a lot of shots or they'd be like the Warriors, Thunder, Wolves, Grizzlies, etc. and be a consistent lottery team for a couple years.
