True indeed. Ron Artest locks down perimeter scorers and shooters; Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony. He's poor against quicker Forwards whom don't only rely on the perimeter; LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose. .......

He sucks at guarding on the perimeter and quicker players. Melo holds up better in that area. I think artest does his best work against guys like LeBron,g-force,magette,. guys who are more likely to drive and arent the best shooters.

| If this trade happens; Lakers decrease their chances of a three peat. Sounds like a bad trade to me. | |

Ron Artest can't defend slashers, it has been proven. Ron Artest does his best against perimeter shooters.

Sounds like a bad trade to me. This trade obviously is for the Lakers' future, and the championship will happen, David Stern wants the Zen Master to leave with one of his traditional 3-peats.

| Unless the Lakers go for an all out move for the 2011 NBA championship, there's no point in making this move. The Lakers are likely to be blown up with the new CBA in place assuming players move to where the money is, and the only MUST KEEP for the Lakers would be Kobe Bryant just because he has done so much for that organization and also because he is closing in on Kareem's record. Bad for Lakers fans and great for Wizards fans. The last player to cut loose with the current Lakers would be Pow Wow, but I would think that they should be able to keep both Pau and Kobe somehow and some way even after their contracts are restructured this offseason.
I'm really excited for this offseason because of a much needed equalization in regards to talent and "popular destination" teams....

| How about the Knicks trade James Dolan for Carmelo Anthony as the centerpiece. If there is no way to go around it we'll include Wilson Chandler in the dealings. In addition to Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry going to Minny and Corey Brewer and a draft pick going to Den. If we can trade Bill Walker for a draft pick we'll send that to Den as well. And top it all off with a liftetime supply of high-altitude chewing gum (a neccessity in Denver) and a 1 of our ball boys. | |
