Carmelo isn't anywhere near Scottie Pippen defensively, but the triangle is great for SG/SF's like Jordan, Kobe, Pippen, Kukoc, Fox, Glen Rice, Odom, Horry and... possibly Carmelo if the trade went through.

Carmelo Anthony doesn't fit the Zen Master's Triangle Offense. Yes he does. perfect fit. The SF in the Triangle is suppose to be a defensive player. 'Melo is the exact opposite.

Dude... if you don't know what your talking about, just don't comment. It's called TRIANGLE OFFENSE... not DEFENSE. It was used to move the ball around on offense and give the wing scorers and post positions scoring options for cutters and shooters without allowing the defense to gang up on the most potent scorer.

Defensively, the Lakers would be mediocre. Why trade defense for something you already have? Oh...

Oh...
It's not like Artest is playing good defense... The Lakers defense @ SF won't be any worse than it is now.

| Artest problem is age and the fact that he's and offensive liability at times.
He's still a better defender than Melo'.

True indeed. Ron Artest locks down perimeter scorers and shooters; Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony. He's poor against quicker Forwards whom don't only rely on the perimeter; LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose.
