You can stick him at SF, but that would be dumb. He's slow and has nothing from outside. Jeffries, Harrington, and Bender would all be better options at SF.

The second thing is how I know you're just talking him up. "Nothing compared to Lee?" Nothing? Its one thing to say Lee is better, but when you say that, you're just trying to make Lee look good.

Man you should take a look at him from outside he has been hitting perimeter jumpers all season this year.

even when you say he has a 15 foot jumper, it still isn't something that scares me as a defense from a SF. there are almost 0 SFs in the NBA w/ no threat from 3 because it makes them way too easy to defend. I'd let David Lee shoot from 15+ all game, because that's not the reason for his 56% field goal percentage.

He's been shooting 15-18 FT jumpers all season he gets like 5 looks a game and hits like 3 of them. He hit a 20 footer just last game and took a 3 that just rimmed out this season. He still works best from inside, but he has been shooting tons of shots from the outside this season. Not to mention he can put the ball on the floor and create for his teammates and is the best passing C after Camby in terms of assists. He already posted an 8 assist game this season and has a couple 5 assists games. He also gets steals and has hit a number of gamewinners for NY this season (jumpshots).

Against Indy Lee was due to break a 40/20 game. I was hoping that Mike D would have had a dick moment and kept David in the game so that they can keep running up the score, but sadly he didn't. He's done that with Lee and other Knicks this season a lot this season when NY has a rare blowout.

That's pretty damn good considering this is his 1st season with a specialized perimeter game it can only get better from hereon in. David Lee gets better year by year. The reason why he has a perimeter game this season is because he worked his tail off this past summer to develope a greater offensive arsenal, so that he can get a multi-year deal either in NY (where he hopefully does get one) or elsewhere.

Anyways, the guy is playing huge and does it against the best of the best undersized and all in his position. Before, Mike D came to town the Knicks were equally terrible in offense and defense. David Lee did not get that many minutes and had a raw outside game. He has developed shooting jumpers. Nevertheless, the only thing the Knicks did well under Isiah is that they were a very good rebounding team. In fact they were top 5 in the NBA in rebounding and David Lee off the bench was the leading rebounder in NY grabbing 10 a game. That was before the influx of minutes that he gets now and before Mike D's system. That year D. Lee was the only NBA player off the bench to be top 10 in rebounding, he was like top 3 in offensive rebounding, top 10 in double-doubles, and in the top 10 in FG%. Last year was the 1st year he started and he improved in all of those categories still remaining top 10 in all, but he actually led the NBA in double-doubles, was 7th in FG%, and 3rd in total rebounds. Lee is the best natural rebounder in the NBA IMO. I respect your opinion that you don't think he should be an All-star this season and isn't worthy of being called one. But, you should know that many players and people say that he does belong.
