I don't understand why they wont sign him. I know they want one of the FA's in 2010 but this works out for them too... wtf

| They dont want him for only one year. They either want him long term or they wanna sign and trade him.
If they sign him to a 1 year deal, he will most likely walk next year. Then what if the Knicks get unlucky, and walk away with no big named big man in 2010?
Much like the bulls with Gordon. They gave him a 1 year deal, now he is gone and we are left with no legit outside threat.

| Donnie Walsh is just being cheap. He always has been.
He fights for every last dollar which is outdated in today's sports world.

| Plus, the Knicks dont think Lee is worth what he is asking for.
earlier in the summer Lee asked for a 5 yr. 50 million dollar deal, and the Knicks were only willing to offer a 5 yr. 35-40 million dollar deal

| David Lee is the best player on the Knicks and is their franchise player now, and in my opinion for the forseeable future because they are most likely gonna fall flat on their asses when the superstars stay in their own teams next year. He is also their best trade option too.
Perhaps Lee doesn't wanna be a Knick because Spike left him out of the NBA 2K10 ads because he's white.

| So Jason Kidd can get a 3 yr. 27 million dollar deal, but Lee cant get a 5 year 50?
A 38 yr. old PG is gonna make 8-9 million, but the Knicks dont wanna give lee 10 million. He is also coming off a double double average season.

| Lee averaged a double double and was one of the only bright spots on that piece of garbage that we call a basketball team.
Give him what he wants. | |

| I know a lot of people will disagree with me on this but as a Knicks fan who has seen every Knicks game but one due to going somewhere, I can say that I don't want Lee on the team. Yes he was probably one of the best people on the team but that doesn't say much. To me he is just a big contract that needs to be dropped. |

| I am telling you no one wants David Lee to remain a Knick more than I do and although his original asking price was too high due to what we want to do in 2010 as a franchise. I still think he fully merits his asking price and now that he is content in not signing a long term deal to play for the Knicks I say great and we should bite on this and keep him for this season. We can still get Sessions and remain under the cap. Then because so many big names are in the market next season Lee could get overlooked and that is the perfect chance after we play the field right and try to lure in Bosh and Redd-or- Johnson we can give Lee a multiyear offer and keep him in NY for the long term because he is a hustler and an All-star caliber player that gets better each year. The reason that we aren't signing him now for the holdout is because the salaries of both Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries currently disallow it. Same reason why Sessions isn't in a Knicks uniform right now as we speak. Walsh is looking to trade Jeffries/Curry and their fat contracts. The only fat contracts that remain on the team after Walsh brilliantly took out Marbury, Zach, and dare I say JC. Only one I was sad to see go. With Robinson also leaving the cap will be in better shape. |

| Nate Robinson is not as good as people think he is. He is very overrated and has 1 of the worst FG% in the NBA. A player that shoots just above 15% for a total of 22 months before he gets on a hot streak and shoots over 40+% after the All-star break to only end the season shooting 20+% is not my type of player. He also is immature, makes terrible decisions cause he tries to force the action, and he is probably the worst defender we have, which is saying a lot. I would rank our players like this: 1. David Lee 2. Al Harrington - Al is a good player 3. Wilson Chandler - Foolish to say we only have 2 good players. Wilson is a very promising one. 4. Chris Duhon - I prefer him 100% over Nate. 5. Larry Hughes - Although, he might not be here if we trade him because he is frustratingly inconsistant. He is a better scorer than that and actually is a good defender. 6. Danilo Gallinari - Would rise up the ranks soon enough. He has the total package. 7. NATE ROBINSON |

| the Knicks are the Knicks and maybe the dumbest organization in all of professional sports.
You can never expect Knicks management to make a reasonable move
I guess they're too desperate for a 2010 Lebron pipedream
