Im just wondering how many people here hate/dislike him.

personally, I like him. I think he's one of the best midrange shooters in the league, is a pretty good leader, and is a beast. IDC about wheelchairs. lol.

Honestly i actually kinda like pierce before he had something to be cocky about but now..........i kinda dislike every player on boston except KG and Allen

His cheap shot on Bosh last night re-affirmed my dislike towards him.

What did he do?

The boy dunks over Bosh, while kneeing him in the process.

I'm sorry but it had to be said. He can't think he can punk toronto like that. Espiecially Bosh. If I was with the raptors i would go and punch pierce in his face while that play happened.

Ive got to disagree that that was a cheap shot. Sure he taunted afterward, but when dunk over Bosh w/ contact, your energy is going to be flowing, and tons of other players in the NBA would be doing the exact same thing.

I definitely like Pierce as a player, and I don't get why people think he's a douche bag for leaving a Finals game w/ an injury. If it was a a fake injury that makes him stupid and a dumb ass, not a douche bag. I don't know exactly what led to him being stabbed either, but I do believe is definitely a bit of a thug. What I like about Pierce is that he a good floor leader, a clutch scorer, and a guy that really wasn't doing much complaining while losing in Boston. He waited it out, and got rewarded for his time there. The "Truth's" style of play is unique in this league, and he is a very complete player. He rebounds, shoots, can drive the lane, is a good free throw shooter, can create for teammates, and is a very capable defender. He bring everything to the table for the Celtics, including leadership. That's why I like the guy.

So many other big names a big crybabies, I think Pierce's large amount of dislike comes for playing for a championship team. He's disliked/hated the same way Kobe is, albeit probably not as much. I just don't see why he gets so much hate, when he isn't the only one.

It was not a cheap shot at all. I think Bosh gets hurt in the play, is that correct? That may make it seem to be a cheap shot, but when you're going up for a dunk, you can't give a shit about the other guy. Your job is to throw it down on his head, in whatever way possible. It probably should have been called for an offensive foul for kneeing, but that type of thing happens nightly in the NBA. Its a mid-air reaction to protect yourself from the other player and maintain your balance, not something you're doing intentionally to injure another player.

well no one said that there isn't a lot of crybabies, but this is about Pierce.

And he's the only one i know of that did something like he did in the 08 finals w/the wheelchair. I don't know what that makes him, but I'm inclined to agree with Rush on that incident.

I disliked Pierce pre-big three era; before they were even a championship team.
I do not know about others though who dislike him.

I see where you are coming from, but I still feel it was a cheap shot.
He showed no remorse/empathy after seeing how Bosh reacted to the knee shot and showboated which turned me off.

What ensued after that incident was hilarious but that is another story...

I've always found Duncan bitching about every call that doesn't go his way to be very annoying...
So now...I'm not ignoring any "greats" bad attitudes....
