Washington Wizards release new logos

Subject: Washington Wizards release new logos Tue May 10, 2011 12:08 pm

A number of teams have red white and blue schemes in the NBA:

Philly, LA Clippers, Detroit, Atlanta, and now we're back in the same scheme. Like the Caps and Mystics we adopted the red white and navy scheme, and we now have some new jerseys as well that are reminiscent of the past, but provide a new look. Take a look at them yourself.

Very ugly...I'm as patriotic as they get but eww. Lighten up the blue, Brighten the red and were good..I will find them hard to view this season..

Ted wanted to keep the colors exactly the same with all the teams. We'd look like the Sixers if we turned Wizards blue to Independence Blue.

FYI, our primary logo is still primarily the same:

We do have a bunch of new secondary logos which will be used more prominently however, as you see with John's new jersey

but why the v-neck should of stuck with the classical

why not the Washington United?

I thought our now old jerseys were good looking but the color scheme wasn't the most bold, and a lot of fans still clamor for a return to the Bullets, but I don't think that should happen.

Ted Leonsis has basically said that the name of the team will not change. I think he's too loyal to the Pollin family to change the name to Bullets, which may make a lot of old time Wizards fans happy, but it will be fodder for guys like Colin Cowherd. Second, the name Wizards is only 14 years old or so. Change a team name twice, even if we changed it to something different would look bad for a bad team considering the last 25 years.

The old spurs logo was pretty bad too.

Denvers was a lot worse...
