- Just curious... how come you think no team will win 60 games?
In the East: I look at the playoff teams and see Boston only won 50 games last season. I don't think there's anyway they win less this season. Orlando didn't win 60 last season and they aren't better this season. Cleveland's chances at winning 60 are...yeah. I don't see Miami winning 60 because they probably will have very little chemistry to build off of at the beginning of the season. They also don't have a solid body in the post to stop teams from scoring inside. They could lose a lot of meaningless games that way, and a decent amount of important ones. Within Orlando's division they now have the Heat, and Atlanta is still there. Milwaukee and Chicago are better, but not win 60 games better. They are, however, good enough to make the East a little less top heavy as far as the best records go.
In the West: The Lakers are the only team with even the slightest chance, because no one else has the talent to win 60 games in the West. But they get complacent on longer road-trips, especially in the east, and at the end of the season. I like their bench more this season, and their overall talent, but I don't think that was the reason they didn't win 60 last year. It was the mentality that not every regular season game mattered. And they don't, but that wasn't the mentality that the only team to win 60 games last year had. They had a deep, rotating bench, and a physical marvel that could stay healthy and play at full strength nearly every game of the season. Got it. Thanks. I still think there will be at least two 60 win teams in the east. Both from Florida. I think LA has the best shot in the west, but yeah... there was a serious lack of effort and "oh well" games that the Lakers dropped last season. I think it's crazy that people are really thinking that Miami could win 70+ games. I just don't get that. The Heat will probably have bigger targets on their back than any other power team this season. Team are gonna' go after Miami.

| Howard will destroy the Heat frontcourt. Who is gonna be there to cover him? Big Z? Juwon Howard? Chris Bosh certainly can't do it...
I don't think 73 wins, because their bench is a bunch of 35 year olds. Also, they'll probably rest Wade/Lebron/Bosh around the end of the year because they'll all probably be playing around like 40 MPG.

I wouldn't argue against either the Lakers or Magic winning 60, because they have the talent to do it. As for the Heat, though, I see them losing a bunch "WTF that team sucks" games. Like Minnesota or New Jersey or Golden State. Not just on the road either.

| CBI: I'd take Jameer being gaurded by Chalmers/Arroyo and Howard being gaurded by Ilgauskas/J. Howard over James being guarded by Pietrus, Wade being guarded by Carter, and Bosh being gaurded by Howard (help defense ftw, do you really think Dwight has to worry about Big Z scoring even 10 against him?) | |

| Yeah...I don't listen much to JVG, and this is no exception. Although it was very entertaining to have him commentating on Game 4 of the 2009 Finals as his brother screwed up royally. | |

| Jeff Van Gundy is good for one thing, and that is for making fun of his brother (who I like his brother more, but personally I think it's funny). | |

Oh god...that's the NBA's biggest screw up imo. Having Mike Breen, JVG, and Mark Jackson as the voice of the NBA playoffs. Really, they need to go back to Marv Albert and Doug Collins. Those guys I would pay attention too.

| Really o.O okay . Good for him. I think they will win more 50-60 wins but 73 this fool is crazy out of his mind!. The heat bench is just very questionable to me. Like many have mentioned I have to watch them play to see what is up. | |

| Personally, I think the toughest division in basketball is the Northwest, but that's just me.
I would not put it past the Heat. There are really only 8 teams in the NBA this season, the Lakers, Celtics, Mavs, Thunder, Magic, Bulls, Nuggets, and the Heat themselves. If they can split their games against these teams, that gives them room to pull off a 73 win season. It just sounds ridiculous. It's actually plausible.
Barring any injuries of course.

| 4/5 from the N/W made it to the playoffs and 4/5 from the SE division made it its even but the north west have the timberwolves who are just below mediocre and gave up 13 wins to the rest of that division | |
