| Well, that's what i think but they call me biased so i had to mention it there.
If he keeps playing like this then, hell. He will be considered at the same level with Deron and Paul. | |

| I believe we already have a thread about this but ok.......
My list
1.Deron Williams-Best Point Guard with Paul. He's a first pass PG who can score/defend and rebound well too plus he's excellent leader,is clutch and has great court vision. He's ranked third in assists which means he can assist preety much well but he does good at the other stuff too.His team has to go through him and they all need him to get their points so that's why he looks to assist everytime but he can scores/defends/rebounds and leads too. He's great point guard and in this season but he'll step out a lot of his team in the seaspm and the playoffs.Hopefully he becomes an All-Star...
Chris Paul-Best PG with D-Will.He's a pass first PG,a triple double machine and great overall player. His all around game is second best after LeBron's,is good and efficent scorer/good rebounder for his spot and has great court vision.Paul makes his team better with passing...he needs to step out little bit more in the playoffs and hopefully he's an All-Star this season
3.Steve Nash-Best offensive Point Guard and best passer in the game.Plus he's good shooter, the most efficent one for sure....
4.Jason Kidd-Effective Point Guards, great defender and excellent passer. He's still a good rebounder and leader too, plus he brings that old school PG menthality and has something that many young PGs don't.....
5.Tony PArker-Balanced but high scoring PArker with good vision and defense.
Honarble Mention:Derrick Rose,Rajon Rondo,Devin Harris,Gilbert Arenas,Andre Miller
All time:
1.Earvin 'Magic' Johnson-Best passer/best court vision/most versality player and really great all around player. He's the second best all around player after Big O although not only he's #2 in triple doubles in regular season but he's #1 in triple doubles during playoffs. His passing made all the players around him better,he was good defender, rebounder too and had good mid range jump shot.Magic is the best,no doubt and has good acomplishments plus nice leadership. He was also clutch player,in his rookie season he played C in the Finals and his team won,he also hit an important clutch shot. in the Finals vs the Celtics. He's great
2.Oscar 'Big O' Roberston-The best all around player of all time,he's the all time leader in triple doubles and great overall player. He did everything right,passing/scoring/defending/rebounding/leading and making big plays for his team.He was also a great leader and his success to win the ring came really late.He was excellent passer,he could haver averge over a lot more assists in his career if they didin't have any rules for assist,he was good and efficent scorer.....plus had deadly mid range jump shot....one of the best rebounding PGs too and solid defender. This PG is great. He's the first one to label the terms 'all around' in basketball.
3.Isah Thomas-Many generations don't remember him for his greatness as a PG not as GM.When ever,he was on the court,he was great, really great PG.He was defensive and all around PG who had great crossover, was excellent passer/good scorer and good leader.Although he was small PG but he was really dominating....
4.Jason Kidd-One of the greatest all around players of all time because of his ability to get triple double. He's third on the all time list with over 100.Kidd did everything right on the court,pass/defend/rebound/score/lead/play defense etc.He was excellent passer in his career and prime, altough he is third on the all time list for asssists, his passes were most hardest to read which is i like most about him.Plus the ability to play great defense and rebounding skills........he was awsome.I personally think that he's also the best rebounding PG....bottom line is Kidd was fantastic
5.John Stocthon-The most purest Point Guard in the NBA of All Time because of his passing and scoring menthality. He wasn't good defender but he was far from beeing the worst....he did a good job in Utah where in the past and now it's really hard to get assists but he was great.Plus John was clutch...
Honarble Mention:Walt Frazier,Bob Cousy,Nate Archibald,Steve Nash......

| Right now: Chris PaulThe most dynamic point guard in the league today. Though he's been injured this season, he's still averaging All Star numbers. This season, he's also become a better three point shooter. He's been extremely efficient shooting the ball this season, and is closing in on Nash in terms of percentages. The most impressive stat for him, though, is his assist to turnover ratio (10.6 to 2.3), which is by far the best in the league. When you consider that he has the ball in his hands as much as just about any player out there, the number is even more impressive. He's a solid defender as well for his position, despite being undersized. Once again he is in the top 5 in steals per game, and is a better overall defender than people give him credit for. He is the best all around point guard in the game today. Steve NashThe man's team is not that good this season, but he's putting up numbers as good as ever. Offensively, he is clearly the best PG in the league. He leads in assists (11.3)and free throw percentage (94.2%), is top 10 in three point percentage (44.1%), and leads all guards in field goal percentage (54.3%). The negatives loom large for Nash, though. He is averaging the third most turnovers (3.9) in the league in just 33 minutes per game. His defense is as bad as his offense is good, and he doesn't pick up many steals to make up for it. He is able to hide those negatives because of the system he plays in, and as far as the impact he has on the game, it's hard to say anyone but Paul has a bigger one. Chauncey BillupsThe stats don't show it, but Chauncey Billups is one of the biggest game changers in the league right now. His field goal shooting percentage is incredibly low (40.0%), and he hasn't been a particularly good three point shooter either. He's averaging his lowest assist total (5.7) since his first season in Detroit, yet his turnovers are as high as they've ever been (2.3). Even with all this, Chauncey is still a top three point guard in the league. Before he got injured, the Nuggets were 19-7, and second in the west, just two games out of first place. Since he's been injured, Denver is 3-6, and has fallen to fourth place, losing 4 games on the competition. Without Chauncey's intangibles, like his leadership on both ends of the floor, his defense, and his clutch shot making, the Nuggets just aren't the same team. Deron WilliamsWilliams is a solid scorer for a point guard, and a capable passer. He puts up great numbers on a playoff caliber team, and it is a shame that he hasn't been an All Star yet. However, he doesn't do anything particularly well in comparison to the other great point guards in the league. He gets a lot of assists (9. , but he's constantly running pick and rolls, so that's expected. He's a good shooter (49.1%), but not a great one (38.4%). He turns the ball over quite a bit (3.4) for the amount of time he has it, and he certainly isn't a great defender in any way. He's a solid point guard, and you can't ignore him because of his stats, but he really doesn't do anything special out on the floor. Rajon RondoRajon Rondo is one of the best passers, finishers, and defenders at his position. He has the second highest field goal percentage among guards (53.0%), is fourth in assists per game (9.6), and leads all players in steals (2.6). He is arguably the best defending point guard in the league, both on and off ball because of his length, quick hands, and excellent ability to jump into the passing lanes. However, he has two major drawbacks. He is a terrible leader, and he can't hit jump shots or free throws. So far, the his lack of leadership hasn't really hurt his team, or his own play, because he plays with three future hall of fame players, but once he's without them, it's going to really be something he needs to overcome. His shooting percentages away from the rim are just terrible. He shoots an awful percentage from three point land (11.1%), and is also a bad free throw shooter (59.6%). His inability to get jump shots to fall from outside is a huge detriment, but he has shown the ability to score in the paint even without an outside threat. Overall, his other qualities still make him a top five point guard in my eyes. | |
