What will happen to Flip Saunders, the Wizards Head Coach after this season?

To me it's anyone's guess. Good chance he just quits especially if the team blows after game 60 with a 15-45 record. Given the drama with Gil being the leading actor, I can't see why Saunders would want to stay here. Then again, he may relish an opportunity to rebuild a team as well as he did with Minnesota. I doubt he'll get fired because this is Grunfeld's first true coaching hire and given that the roster (much of whom are free agents after the year) isn't buying into his D or O, he should be given an opportunity to get the guys who will fit in the system. We aren't going to get a coach of his caliber again for a very long time should he leave, not to mention, Eddie Jordan's firing does seem like a mistake with each coming week, even though Flip is the overall better coach. At first I thought Flip should've gotten the ax, but now, he is one of the guys that must stay for a successful rebuilding of this team, that is inevitable, no matter how good they get this year.

lol...it's funny how Arenas's teams are both going through adversity...Warriors and Wizards are definitely having the most off court drama...

What are the Warriors going through? I think Maggette isn't happy there, but it's nothing like what's in DC..

lol, they got rid of Oscar Winning actor Isiah Thomas so that basically ended 90% of it.

Heat fan, Saunders is the best coach to have been here. He is also Ernie's first true hire. Sure he was given a good lineup on paper which wasn't so good on the court, but you have to consider that with Gun Gate, if the Wiz fire Flip, they will not have ANY legit candidates to take the job. Will Lawrence Frank come? Avery? Nope, he is too into ESPN. The best hope if Flip is fired or quits (good chance he quits instead) is that Patrick Ewing comes, since he is overdue for a chance, though I don't know if he'll make a good HC for this team. Other possibility, current assistant Sam Cassell

Seems like he is taking this situation more seriously...
Anyway, smart move on his part.
6 months in jail isn't too shabby compared to 5 years...
