DO you think Joe Dumars can rebuild the Pistons succesfully?

Yeah, he traded Billups for AI and that self-destructed because of M. Curry. He had to rebuild some time or another. The Pistons were becoming old. They might as well have started rebuilding now than later.

Right now the Pistons are the 7th seed in a weak Eastern Conference. If healthy their a pretty solid team, here's the line-up:

PG: Rodney Stuckey/Will Bynum
SG: Rip Hamilton/Ben Gordon
SF: Tayshaun Prince/Jonas Jerebko
PF: Charlie Villanueva/Jason Maxiell
C: Ben Wallace/ Chris Wilcox.......Kwame Brown

Can/should the Pistons build around their guards, because they have 3 young,great guards in Gordon,Stuckey, and Bynum. They can trade Rip to stabilize the froncourt, and probably get some free agent next summer.

So do you think the Pistons can go back to their once dominant form?

Of course he can...Dumars built the Pistons into the dominant championship team they were for most of this decade. He's a smart man, he'll figure out a way.

First steps...trade Hamilton and/or Prince for a dominant big man down low. Villanueva is not built for the contact down the block...he's a jumpshooter. A poor man's Rasheed Wallace if you will...good shooter without the post presence.

Or...trade Hamilton and Prince for expirers. With the exception of Wallace, who has surprsingly been the best player in Detroit this year, that gets rid of all the guys from the '04 championship team. Full rebuilding mode this summer. See who they can pick up in free agency. Sure, it might not be Bron, Wade or Bosh, but there are plenty of good/decent prospects.

Well...I would like to believe he is doing a good job...

But this previous FA was just terrible for the pistons...
I mean...you get Ben Gordon and Charlie....both of them play no defense....and Charlie is pretty bad at rebounding for a big man...

So...they have no defense...

Ben Gordon is pretty inefficient when his shot isnt falling (which happens a lot btw)

Rodney Stuckey has been playing pretty damn well....
So they have the good thing going...

But I just cant get over the fact that they gave Ben Gordon and Charlie those ridiculous contracts...
With them....theyll never be better than a mediocre team....
Their cieling is probably the 2nd round...
