| Memphis was a crazy good team for 3 straight years. This year they almost got homecourt advantage. They fired Hubie Brown and fired a good replacement in Mike Fratello and it all went downhill from there. Jerry West the Jesus of their franchise resigned and then that whole Pau Gasol trade happened. Memphis was a huge uptempo team and I remember one night they beat Kidd's Nets by like 40 something points and Swift had so many throwdowns of all people. | |

| One of the years the Grizzlies were in the playoffs they added Eddie Jones to the roster and didn't lose any of their core players and this was still back when Jones was a 20 point option type of player. | |

| Memphis in 5 games.
Overall better starting line up than the Lakers.
Memphis has pretty solid bench players with Battier (great defender) and Posey who is always a great asset to any team. | |
