0: The amount of home losses the Seattle Storm had at home in the 2010 WNBA season and playoffs.
3: 3 is notable in two ways:

• The amount of rings Jim Calhoun has won in a span of 12 years.
  
• Lauren Jackson won her 3rd WNBA MVP award in 2010.
  

4: The Amount of Times Maya Moore was an All American.
5: 5 is a lucky number for three teams in several ways.

• The Washington Wizards were the team with the 5^th
  worst regular season record in the 2009-2010 season, and they ended up winning the draft lottery that year.
  
• The Connecticut men’s basketball team won five games in five days in the Big East Tournament to earn an automatic bid to the
  NCAA Tournament.
  
• The amount of games VCU had to win in the NCAA
  Tournament to get to the Final Four
  

11: The amount of championship rings Phil Jackson has as the head coach of the LA Lakers.
90: The Connecticut women’s basketball team won 90 straight games from the start of the 2008-2009 season with an 82-71 win over Georgia Tech on November 16, 2008 and the last game was an 85-42 road win over Pacific on December 28, 2010. They lost their next game on December 30, 2010 against Stanford. The 90 game winning streak is an NCAA record in women’s college basketball.

Allen, Ray – He broke the all time career mark in three pointers made in the NBA on February 10, 2011.

Attendance Banners – Mystics owner Ted Leonsis and managing partner Sheila Johnson removed them from the Verizon Center soon after they agreed to purchase the rest of the Washington Wizards and the Verizon Center back in May 2010. In June 2010 the purchase was complete.
Auriemma, Geno – was the head coach of the 2009-2010 UConn women’s basketball team that won the National Championship and coached the US women’s team to a Gold Medal in the 2010 FIBA World Championships in the Czech Republic.

Bibb, Greg – The Wizards Executive VP of Business Operations and Mystics COO (same position). He’s there so he can be in the same page as another person in this list who is the equivalent for another team, but the dude is a big part of improved business
success with our basketball teams.
Boozer, Carlos – His free agent signing with the Bulls got them to their 1^st #1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs since Michael was there. Who would’ve thought that a Dukie would be the X Factor when for many years it was all about North CARO-LINA!?
Bryant, Kobe – All he does is win….Bill Russell trophies.
Buyout – It’s the one thing that prevents Ricky from coming to Minny, and it’s one favor Mike Bibby did for the Wizards.

Buss, Jeanie – The Lakers VP of Business Operations. She has been one of the primary voices for NBA Contraction. She was also in a Playboy shoot in May 1995. Just sayin’.

Collison, Darren – When Chris Paul was sidelined for the remainder of the 2009-2010 season, he stepped up big time, and this year with the Pacers, he is leading the Pacers back to the playoffs.
Collison, Nick – An unlikely veteran leader for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He may not be the best player on the team, but a consistent low post player like him is needed for anyone. He also helped KD with the way of life in the NBA.

Contraction – No, it’s not the contractions your mom had before you said hello to the world. It’s the potential reduction of teams that could cut the amount of available jobs in the NBA. Will Nawlins close shop? Is it Minny? Is it the Wizards? At least with uterine contractions, there's a happy ending with a new baby boy or girl (or more). With NBA contractions, they hurt before, during, and after the process.
Cowboys Stadium – The NBA loves events on a big scale. Why not have the 2010 NBA All Star game in the largest facility in professional sports?

Crawford, Jordan – The rookie that Atlanta would love to have back. Thanks but no thanks. We’re building young though we do love Kirk.

Diggins, Skylar – She dopped 24 points on Tennessee in the Elite Eight,
dropped another 28 points on Connecticut in the 2011 National Semifinals, and
another 23 point performance in the national championship game though her Notre
Dame team lost. When Lil’ Wayne and
Chris Brown holla because she’s hot and can ball, that’s a good thing. Just don’t date Chris Brown Skylar. EVER.



Dougie – John Wall made it famous on a large scale during the home opener, but we saw Nate Robinson dance this in the WNBA Finals, and many rookies dancing to it as part of their initiation rites.
Duncan, Tim – He’s still playing last time I checked.
Durant, Kevin – He will have led the NBA in scoring for two years in a row after this season is done. He is also a poster child for how smaller cities’ NBA teams can still be successful.

E
Ellis, Monta – The man scores, dishes, and steals like the best of them, yet he still can’t get in an All Star Game, much less play for a winner.
