Isn't he the prototype of what Skiles defines a PG to be?
I mean not only is he a pass first PG, but he is an excellent passer who makes the right decisions and a pure PG at that. Probably, the most pure PG in the NBA because I have seen him go entire halves without attempting a single shot attempt trying to get the offense rolling putting all of his focus into directing the offense.
He is also speedy and gets to the rim and is an excellent on the ball defender. I mean his jump shot isn't where it one day would be, but he can also score and his 44 point game in just his Sophomore season is living testament to this. Not to mention he can be clutch as shown by the Wizards game.
Could it be that Skiles was threatened that his long standing assist record could have been broken by Sessions easily being that he posted a 24 assist game coming in as a 6th Man. I see no other reason why he wouldn't like him and the thing is he can only get better. He's only been in the NBA, since March of 2008, so really that's just a little over 1 full season as a pro.
