Who is the most overrated player in the NBA of All Time

It's got to be Wilt. Do I have to explain?

I think it's Wilt

He's 1 lucky player to play in the 60's.

1. Wilt Chamberlain (He got to dominate in a very early period in the league, but to his credit, the NBA did change the rules to make it harder for him.
2. Michael Jordan (I think he's the best guard of all time, but he's not God)

Michael jordan. He's so overrated, I watch tapes of him daily and he's not as amazing as people say I see no difference between him and kobe besides MJ cant knock down a wide open 3 for shit.

Wilt Chamberlian easily.
Because of the era he played in, it was less difficult for him to attain his career stats as well as other career accomplishments. Some people fail to take that into consideration and consider him one of the greatest players of all time (in some cases, THE greatest of all time).

Karl malone is 2nd place [behind Kareem] in points, Stockton is NBA's all time leader in steals and assists, Kemp was a solid 18 and 10 guy in his prime, Barkley in his career averaged 22 PPG and 12 RPG and he is only 6'6, drexler was a 20, 6, and 6 guy in his career.

Malone made it to the NBA finals 3 times, the conference finals 6 times, won 50+ games 12 times, 60+ 3 times, won 2 MVP's, and made the playoffs every single season of his career. All that is missing as far as his team accomplishments go is a ring. His individual accomplishments are as better than top 10-15 players like Hakeem/Duncan/Kobe/Erving/West etc.


I notice people always consider Oscar top 10. He led his team to 50+ wins just once in his career and won only one championship as arguably the third fiddle on a team led by Kareem.

Malone is not on the top 10 lists of most basketball fans ...Oscar gets a by though?! Why? Even though Malone was more impressive statistically and had more playoff success on his own.

Malone is barred from the top 10 all-time because he never won a ring (he did make it to the finals 3x and the conference finals 6x), and so on yet Oscar--with probably the worst W-L record of any top 20 player, gets a free pass.

Barkley is Overrated because despite his numbers he RUINS the teams he play's on. I even talked to Don Nelson about this same exact arguement in 1992.Nelson told me to watch Charles with Pheonix...he will have a great first year (team wise) But after that he will ruin the chemistry with his personality.....that's exactly what happened.

Kemp had a couple great years But wasted his talent and was always underachieved.

Karl Molone was always overrated and played in a system designed for him to get huge numbers....but despite playing in a weak era...he never won anything...same goes for Stockton who was a liability on Defense.

Hm,intersting of you to talk trash about other players with no facts.Here is the proof.Centers from 6'7-6'9,no 3 second rules which alouwd him to stay in the paint how much he wanted to,ball hog,Jabbar was 7'2 that's true but Russell 6'9,Thurmond 6'10 and Reed 6'9 as well.They were his only true competion and the numbers were down when he ever faced each one of these 2 like tro 25/12 or something.Also when Artis Gilmore showed up in the NBA/ABA All Star Game,he owned Wilt.

Now,in this era with even weak center he would still get 25/14 very sumular to Dwight's numbers just with better scoring.....

BTW,face pace game alouwd him and everyone else to get a lot of rebounds.They made the rules for Wilt to be dominating.....you fail here

Every rebounder in that era had a lot of chances to get more then 15-25 RPG because players weren't that accurate and they missed a lot of shots like 6000-8000 which gave the rebounders a lot of space

Let's look at this way

In this era Russell would averge 14-15 RPG,Wilt would averge 13-16 RPG,Thurmond atleast 14,Reed 13,Gilmore if he played NBA his hall career he would avrge 13 RPG.....

Give me your Wilt,against prime Shaq,Jabbar,Gilmore,Robinson,Hakeem besides the competion he had then you shall see how all of these guys on my list would dominate him..

There was also no 3-second rule, you could just camp under the rim and the refs wouldn't give a damn.
