Dunno but reports say he isn't suiting up this year


Do you think he may be doing this on purpose this time? Maybe he wants to force a trade out of Portland and purposely sits out cause he was the only 1st round pick in a while not to get his contract option.

His contract ends this year. Wonder what his value will be as a free agent since I don' t think he's finished out a season is whole careers. Last 2 years he hasn't even cracked the all-star break

Until the next injury, that is...and then there'll be ever-so-slightly toned down expectations for another bounceback...but yeah. Sorry though, Darko. That really blows.

This is just sad. And not in the pathetic way. Just extremely depressing and even borderline tragic as far as NBA careers go. Oden has been in the NBA 4 seasons and has two complete DNP seasons and just 82 games played overall. Who knows if anyone will give him another chance after this. He may not ever be healthy enough to even make an NBA roster. Hope it gets better for him.

He won't play with the Blazers,next season...

Someones gonna give him a big payday and lock him up for 6+ years. As long as there team doctors say he has no greater chance of being injured than the average basketball player (which they will say)

There are things that still make me to believe in Oden.He's young,22,extremely talented as a player and with the surgeries and technologies getting better,there's still time to believe that this guy can become great center

A mix of both

In Oden's case,his knees cannot take the pressure of his body.So he will need to be more think,so he can become more agile and that's how IMO he can adjust to the tempo of the game.He will need to rely on his skills more often than on his athleticism.

In Roy's case,idk.Both Roy and Oden have had unlucky injuries.Roy is a guy who is durable player,but it seems he is loosing that as well.
