If Greg Oden doesn't sign with the Portland Trail Blazers this summer...

Let's just say,he plays well and averages double-double.Portland offer him a contract,he doesn't like it and wants to play in another team

Which teams would go after Oden if Portland doesn't want him?Perhaps the Miami Heat?

As for NY I miss Lee. Really like Turiaf but we should have asked for Turiaf and Biedrins for Lee if it had to be done. Would've prefered that over Randolph. So Amar'e could start alongside Biedrins and not a international rookie that's labeled as a project.

He was injured and his first game back came against the Bulls but was only played like 3 minutes. Against the Wiz he played 10 minutes. Got 2 points, an outrageous 7 rebounds, and 3 turnovers.

Miami wouldn't be able to afford him.

I doubt after not playing much and making money off his rookie contract he would want to make vets minimum to play for the Heat.

I think there will be a fair number of teams willing to take a chance on Oden for a lot more money than Miami can offer.

I think Miami goes after Michael Redd this off-season to get another shooter. Redd was always linked to the Cavs they tried to get him to go there but he decided to stay in Milwaukee. Now that he's not the same and a couple of injuries after he's gonna have to take what he can get.

Miami might. He'd be an ungrade over House, but I dunno if the dude can even make it through this season (if he comes back this year). The Bucks still have him on their roster and it seems like they already moved on signing Salmons and getting Maggette.

I haven't heard any "We can't wait till Michael comes back", talk for a while now.

Yep the dude is brittle as heck and will be out until Feb. with Maggette and Salmons even by that time Redd isn't likely to get much playing time. Redd for MIA will be an upgrade from Stack who may retire who knows and Juwan Howard may retire as well and he may still have more of a shot that Arroyo and Jones also. There will bit some roster spots open

and I wonder if Greg Oden doesn't return to the Blazers would that make him the 1st #1 draft pick in recent memory to leave the team he started his career with within the 1st 3 years of his career?

Having Oden in OKC would be great. He fits the mold well and is the defensive/rebounding center we need. Plus, with Jeff Green leaving(maybe), we'll need another solid big man. Oden is a great rebounder, and a solid defender but needs to stop getting injured and in foul trouble.

Oden and stefolosha are the only people who are truly great defenders. Westbrook=overrated D
Ibaka=goes for too many shot blocks

This is good team,who would become serious contender,no doubt.Forget foul trouble about Oden,Dwayne.He has overcome that,now just to stay healthy and you are right,it will be a hard time to score inside there.
