11. Red Panda Acrobat Krystal the Acrobat is on a unicycle and she kicks bowls on top of her head often. How the hell does she do this? Only knock on her act is that the music is just too stereotypical. This videos shows her in Cleveland.
12. Steve Max and Simon Sez Simon Says is a mundane game to me, but Steve is able to make this game real quick and exciting in just a matter of a few minutes. Here he is at a New York Liberty game
13. Daniel Browning Smith – The Rubberboy This man can dislocate both of his shoulders, move his body through a toilet seat and get within a cube among other things. How the hell does he do it? This video shows him at an Atlanta Hawks game.
14. Sheila Johnson – Owner Ted’s right hand (wo)man is the managing partner of the Washington Mystics and has helped guide them to three playoff appearances and consecutive playoff berths in 2009 and 2010. Like the Caps in the last couple years, a Finals appearance or even a title could come as early as this year. She can also be seen out and about in the stands rooting for the Styx leading fans to a W which doesn’t stand for Washington.
15. Ralph, the Wizards Dance Cam King He can be seen often at the dance cam during the 4th Quarter of Wizards games. He only has a couple moves, but he is a fan favorite with his pelvic thrusts and crazy arm motions. Kids imitate this man too and do the thrusts with it.
16. Autria Godfrey – Wizards In-Game Host We have the hottest game host in the NBA, hands down. To top it all off, since she first came here in the 2007-08 season, she hasn’t had any “male counterpart” since the 2008-09 season, aside from local (And nationally recognized) radio DJ Big Tigger if you want to call him an in-game host; Tigger is our DJ. She is a journalist.
17. GeNienne Samuels – Mystics In-Game Host We have the hottest game host in the WNBA, hands down. But she is a good game host too and keeps the fans engaged, especially when the former really doesn’t matter in the WNBA given the demographic of the fanbase, if you know what I mean. Most teams have a guy do this role, but we have her. She is also a host of a military show and on one of the local sports shows around her, owns a consulting company in regards to sports team cheerleaders and is one of the current Wizard Girls as well.
I had no idea some women were real serious about cheerleading at the professional team level that it warranted a business, but it is what it is.
18. Yi Jianlian – A Chinese player in Chinatown He may not be a superstar in the NBA, but he is a decent role player especially for a team that’s trying to find its core, like the Wizards. And he’s Chinese, playing in Chinatown!!! He should be a fan favorite here easily and now we just got a billion more fans!
19. Gheorghe Muresan – The Giant (and "The Logo") Yes, his playing days are long past him, but he does work in the Community Outreach program for the team. When he walks past fans during Wizards games, you do see fans screaming his name!
20. Katie Smith – The Savvy Vet Smith was the biggest time free agent available in the WNBA last season and we picked her up, not necessarily to start and score 20 ppg for us, but to be a veteran leader in the twilight of her career who can shoot, pass, rebound, and just will the Mystics to victory. Especially after Alana was sidelined for the season, it’s safe that Smith has played the role of veteran leader and winner as well as anyone, now that the Mystics have had the best season in franchise history, regardless of what happens in the playoffs.
