| It kinda' doesn't matter Tony. At least with a sign and trade you'll get something in return.
Lee has gotten a lot of offers from NJ, MINNY, OKC (at a cut rate) and not one from New York.
He could leave no matter what.

| I know he can but as of right now he's still ours we haven't relinquished his bird rights yet and would not do so until we hear what LeBron has to say. If he decides that he would play anywhere but NY GS would be able to try and get the deal done. If he decides to come to NY we have to relinquish Lee's rights and he's fair game for anyone that bids for him higly unlikely but NY may try for it if that was the case. Reason we haven't relinquished his rights yet I think is because we wanted to make sure that if James shafts us and we didn't have a FA already here that we wouldn't lose Lee either. If we miss out on James and lose Lee due to trade I'll say this with certainty with an addition of Amar'e and a Lee subtraction and the team more or less the same than it was last year with a few mid-level additions being the difference next year the team would be pretty much the same or even worse. | |

| If LeBron chooses NY he would generate billions for the city in ticket sales, merchandise, etc. he doesn't need to take a big load in salary. In fact if he signs with us hope it's for less that way we can throw some towards Lee's way and the fact that he likes playing in NY and would play alongside Bron' that would make for a pretty nice team. Lee made $7 mil this season raise it to a 3 yr 10.8 mil deal. He will prolly field offers of 13 mil from others but may take less. PG. ??? SG. JAMES SF. GALLO PF. LEE C. AMAR'E 6. Chandler 7. Barron - legit C 8. Jordan | |

| We can get that anyways with Curry;s contract coming off the books. And outside of Amar'e being a pretty good shot blocker I'd take Lee in overall defense over Amar'e cause Lee dedicates himself more defensively. Both of them are not good defensively but they really do compliment each other Amar'e gives Lee a shot-blocker and although a lazy rebounder he can still grab 8 per contest. Lee gives Amar'e another effective scoring option in the front-court that can do the hustle work rebound, create for himself and others (the stuff Stat City doesn't really do to well). Offensively speaking forget about it they will be a handful for any team to defend and 6"10 Danilo Gallinari would give Mike D a lot of options where he can play him along with 6"9 Lee & 6"10 Stat and Bron' @ SG would be an absolute wrecking crew. Back to Lee he expands a different part of his game each year and already said he will dedicate himself defensively moving back to his natural PF position may better help him along with it. David Lee has never started with someone as explosive or anything the likes of Amar'e he had freaking Jeffries & later on Barron (who can be kept to fill a vital legit C role on this team of the bench; he can get good minutes). Amar'e as well has never played with a legit big except for Shaq but that never worked out. And K-Mart & Nene are not exacfly the good defenders and back when they had DPOY in Camby playing in DEN they still were terribly defensively most notably in the front-court. Anyways, Nene and K-Mart never really led Denver to playoff success before they still aren't the ideal defensive front-court duo but they bring in Billups and the entire team culture changes and they become a better team defensively and made the WCF in 09'. Through Curry's contract we can bring in Parker and a couple of decent defenders to fill the bench and play the role of role players like what Raja Bell was in PHX. Also Gallo and Chandler are not bad defensively and Douglas is a good defender himself. NY would be a offensive oriented team obviously with Mike D but we could have a defender here and there on the roster. PG. PARKER SG. JAMES SF. GALLO PF. LEE C/ AMAR'E | |

| You have NO idea how lucky you guys would be. Randolph's ceiling is just as high as anyone's in the league right now.
Lee won't get any better than he is right now. He's in his prime.
Randolph will only get better, and better, and better...

| I like how you think but at the end of the day when 4 out of 5 of ur starting 5 dont play defense..you lose! There offense would have to be hella good and like you said, lee would HAVE to dedicate himself to becoming better at that area. | |

| I don't know about that he seems like a gamble. I mean he has a lot of lank and athleticism and does a lot of things well but he already had major surgery at 21 correct me if I'm wrong. I think he comes to NY and things may backfire. It would be like trying out Tyrus Thomas. No one is denying A-RAN doesn't have loads of upswing but I don't know it just seems to risky NY has made a lot of bad decisions over the years I don't want to see another one be made. | |

| i don't like it any more than you do. we'd be overpaying for a hustling role player who isn't a star. the last thing we need to do is waste money on a player who won't help us make an impact in the nba. granted he's better polished offensively than any big man that we have, but he isn't worth 13 million, especially for a team that is trying to CLEAR cap space. | |

| If LeBron James says yes to NY & commits & puts the word out that he wants to play alongside Lee with Amar'e then that would make Pringles day cause towards the end of the season Pringles vouched for Lee & said if it were up to him he would bring Lee back. It could be done as well & there wouldn't be a need to trade Lee to GS. NY would renounce his rights and Lee would be fair game to all whom want him. Assuming the range of what Lee's current $7 million would go for on the market the price would probably go for $11-13 million. Even if NY signs LeBron they would most likely have more than enough to offer Lee an $11 million/6 yr deal, which may or may not be more than other teams. The Mad Russian said he would want Lee but would not want to overpay him other teams could pay him more but even more added incentive for Lee to stay besides playing with Bron would be that NY would still have roughly $ 6-7 million to work with even after they offer Lee a deal in remaining cap that should be enough to bring in Ridnour & resign Barron who can play the role of a legit C along with Jerome Jordan off the bench. Barron played well for the Knicks. And remember Curry's contract expiring next season would make him a wanted commodity come 2011 trade deadline time and past that into the off-season that saves another 12 mil in cap to go after Parker. Chandler also comes off the books and NY may have to part ways with him to get whatever else they may need to put their team to the next level. | |
