In Game 1 of the Thunder-Lakers series, Artest defended Durant extremely well. Durant had 24 points on. what. 7 made field goals? He threw up his share of air balls as well. Westbrook stepped up and torched the Lakers having a very good scoring game. Our offense was stagnant due to good D from the Lakers. Both teams played solid D the entire game. Thunder were down by as many as 17 and had cut the lead down to 6. A good sign that we've seen is that if our offense does get better throughout the series, we're going to be very competititve.

and more of your guys needs to get involved offensively cause the Lakers defense is gonna place more focus on containing Durant.

I didn't see Thabo do anything that frustrated or caused Kobe to miss shots. Bryant's shot was off and that was it.

yeah Artest really pressures those young forwards on the defensive end, he kept Granger to like 9 pts when the lakers and pacers met last, its gonna be a quick playoff series for the thunder if westbrook/ harden/ green etc. dont become good second options for the thunder instead of letting durant jack up shots under pressure from ron ron... what i really thought they lacked this season and now will result costly in the playoffs especially against Bynum and Gasol is a dominant bigman they need to get there hands on someone like Kevin Love or something or else they are just gonna be a first round exit next year...

but too be honest after watching game 1 and seeing the lakers bigmen destroy while durant tossed up disgusting shots while harden/green stand around i think they should start thinking about nxt year

Yeah,Artest did excellent job on Durant pressuring the guy and forcing his shots,he did well on defense and that's what Lakers all want.Kobe was shut down from the team defense not from an individual defense

Yeah Westbrook was the best in Ocklohama and he had great night.


Ron Artest shut down Durant and he had to take a lots of heavy shots ,and he missed them.If Artest continue with this level of defending Durant,Thunder will lose in 4 games.
