Lets be real here, the NBA Finals is going to be Cavs/Lakers

Both of these teams got stacked during the offseason. I really don't see anyway anybody can crack the finals but these two....and you know if someone is, David STern will call up his goons and make sure the finals is Cavs/Lakers anyway

I think its gonna be the celtics in the east, and it up for grabs in the west. The spurs are just as good, maybe even better than the lakers as of now.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was the C's vs. spurs.

Then again...I wouldnt be surprised if it was the cavs vs. lakers

I'm thinking Cavs-Spurs...

But I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lakers, Celtics, Magic, Cavs, or Spurs.. any combination of those... just not thta surprising.

Denver vs. Chicago would be the most shocking Finals!! haha

Agreed.

I have very little faith in Cleveland. They were supposed to make it last year, after having the best record in the league and still battling it out with Orlando, and Mo Williams guaranteed that they would advance.. I don't know what to expect from them anymore and I don't know if their team has improved enough to beat other elite teams.

I see the Celtics making it in the East.

The West is more of a gamble IMO. I prefer the Lakers to make it to the finals, but I can make an argument for the Spurs and a couple other teams as well.

Well....you can book the Lakers....

Really... this is our year to AT LEAST win one finals game. Seriously. Magic have made their roster easier to match up with with the ridding of Turk, and Lee and the bringing in of Carter and Bass.... and The Celtics I feel are just a little too old, and KG still needs to prove he can come back from this injury.

I disagree and I'm not willing to brush off the Celts because they got older and because KG was injured.

They are still an elite team and they shouldn't be underestimated. I'm not sure how Cleveland will perform against Orlando, but since I'm picking Boston to make it, it doesn't matter anyway. Not saying that the Cavs wont make it, but I'm not picking them at this point.

I'm still not sure on Boston though. Because they're obviously a differant team without KG. And he needs to prove he won't get injured again and can perform at a KG level..

And I know you said you dont' want to brush them off because of KG's injury.. but that's the main problem this team didnt' get into the Conference finals or even NBA Finals last year.

And I'm not sure about Cleveland. I'm not ready to say that they'll make it just because they added Shaq [who is old and susceptible to injuries] and a bunch of role players who might or might not help the Cavs.

Choosing the Celtics is the most logical choice at this point.

Well I disagree but maybe if I was a fan of a differant team, I wouldn't.

But Shaq being old means nothing... he waas all NBA third team and all-star game co-MVP and didn't miss any games to injury...

Celtics being old means nothing either. They still made it to the playoffs without KG and if he manages to stay healthy, they'll make it to the finals despite how old their team got. Had the Celtics faced the Hawks and Pistons, they would have made it to the ECF too, but they faced the team that beat your team so they got eliminated earlier.

I'm sure Shaq will have an impact, but I don't know if it will be enough. This is the same thing I told RO last night. Nothing I say is definite, the season hasn't started yet so I'm only guessing.

East-either cavs or celts. Im not too sure how orlando will fair with their makeover even though they got a shot. Im picking cleveland though. In my opinion the celtics are a team tht the cavs can take.2 years ago the celts beat us and we added mo,parker,moon,shaq and lost ben and sasha. The c's lost posey and added sheed.........and at this point shaq is the 3rd or 2nd best center with yao out.

Im saying cavs.They were better last year and they are better this year.
