Paul is an amazing point guard. But I'm sure a lot of this anger is internal and pointed at the Hornets organization for surrounding him with 'use to be's'. I think it's starting to boil over for him. He also has a tendency to punch players in the nuts.

Rondo is a really good guard and does everything you need a point guard to do except hit the 3. I can't hate on Rondo. Especially for just talking trash. He's also an egotistic guy. Part of the reason the Celtics initially were shopping him over the summer.

It doesn't matter if Rondo is 10 x better than Paul, or if Paul wins 30 rings. Chris Paul was right when he said Rondo needs to respect him like a man. Yeah, Paul got over-worked and was angry. They both deserved technicals. Rondo shouldn't have been a piss to Paul, especially when you have 3 HOFers on your team and the toughest bench. Rondo needs to stfu and he'd be an amazing ball player, his attitude is getting the best of him. Jordan had that problem. Bryant had that problem. O'Neal had it. Everyone has an attitude, he just needs to control it a bit better. Like... I know I'm 5 x better than most of the other guys out there when I'm playing, I'm not going to disrespect them by telling them I'm better, all I have to do is kick their ass and the scoreboard will speak for me.

Self confidence is saying that you think you're a great PG and think that you and CP3 could be on the same level.

Rondo is a little bitch. He is very overrated IMO. Very. How is he going to argue with Paul knowing that he can't even compare to CP3. He should think before he opens his mouth. I heard that Rondo was telling Paul he doesn't have a ring and he has one. And Paul said that "Well, you weren't a reason why they won it". That's good Paul stood up to him. Just because he has KG,Pierce and Allen as a teammate doesn't mean he has to run his mouth.

Rondo isnt even close to the level of talent paul has.

I don't know if Rondo can be anything else. Paul had every right to lose his temper with that arrogant little douchebag in front of him, bragging about his ring and his success. Let's simplify Rondo's success:

Rondo is a successful offensive PG. Why? Look at the talented teammates that demand defensive attention, leaving him free to drive and score.
Rondo is a successful rebounding PG. Why? Look at the talented teammates that demand rebounding attention, leaving him free to swipe the ball.
Rondo is a successful passing PG. Why? Look at the talented teammates he has to pass to for scoring.
Rondo is a successful defender. Why? Look at the long-armed, defensively-talented teammates that will stop anyone that drives past him, allowing Rondo to take risks on D.
Rondo is a successful champion. Why? Look at the talented teammates surrounding him that he lucked into.

I'm not saying Rondo wouldn't be a good PG without Pierce/Allen/KG around him, but there's no way in hell Rondo would be anything without his teammates. Paul has David West and a collection of role players, and is still widely considered the best PG in the league. Rondo has potentially three future Hall of Famers on his team to work with, and is still nowhere close to Paul. 'Nuff said.

I think you guys are giving way too little credit to Rondo. Worst starting PG in the league? that not only wrong but also harsh.

I don't know about the worst starting PG if he didn't have the Big 3, but he's closer to that than the top. What do you think of Rondo, then? I think he's been largely lucky in his career, instead of possessing enormous talent or skill. To show you what I mean, switch Rondo and CP3. How unstoppable would the Celtics be, and how bad would the Hornets be? Do the same with Deron Williams or Tony Parker or Chauncey Billups. Rondo's skills are amazing. That big 3 factor isn't much at all to put him anywhere near the worst starting PG.

I'm not saying Rondo's no good, but I don't think he would enjoy as much success if he was in Paul's place on the Hornets or on another team without 3 future HOF players...ugh...I'm probably just biased 'cause I hate people like Rondo with their unfounded conceit...w/e. Rondo's Offense- well the big 3 especially early on attracted alot of attention giving rondo a better chance to score while a guy like paul himself attracts more attention than his whole team
