Do you side with Kareem?

You guys have all probably heard of the story.. Kareem's unhappy about the lakers not having a statue of him outside or anywhere around Staples Center.

The Lakers have 5 statues. Magic Johnson. Makes sense. Jerry West. Makes sense. Chick Hearn. makes sense. Wayne gretzky... okay, wtf? He never even won a stanley cup when he played for the LA kings.. unless I missed it. And Oscar de la hoya..... uhhhh?

Kareems been retired for 20+ years now... I think he should have a statue by now. So should Bill Russell in Boston, but he's not complaining about it.

Kareems is being mega whiny and bitchy but at hte same time he's the all time leader in points.

He's getting up there in age and just recovered from cancer... who knows when his time will be up. He just wants to see his statue while he's breathing...

Even though he comes across as a really whiny little bitch (which is really unfortunate, because I really like/respect him), I completely agree that he deserves his own statue outside Staples.

Its hard not to come off as a whiny bitch when u are complaining about not having statue, cause u know most people build statues to show their admiration of another person, not cause someone told them to make a statue of them

But the guys legit, probably has the greatest career resume in the NBA.

No I don't. Lakers for the most part are loyal to their retirees.

If he was to get the statue now, he'd still be somewhat dissatisfied that he had to practically beg for a statue. In addition, he'd be scrutinized by the public for doing so...so in a way, I don't know if I'd want the statue anymore haha.

He's asking for a statue..that really gives no significance to a statue if it is made
