This is a symbolic step that we needed. Osama probably hasn't had too much control on Islamic extremist terror in some years. But he was still the face of it and getting him was a blow to them nevertheless.

I like the celebrations in terms of the fact that we had a victory, but a non-westerner could see our celebrations as propaganda to fuel the Taliban, Hamas, etc., who are denouncing his death.

Osama bin Laden's death is one giant gov't cover-up that's been in the works for the past nine years. Either he's A.) been dead since the Hindu Kush was first bombed and was left unstated cause the gov't wanted to prolong the war, or B.) they say he's dead now (when he could still really be alive) and all they put to death is an impersonator.

Nevertheless our gov't is incompetent and the Congress needs to be wiped clean and replaced with new blood. "Osama's death" right now shows our gov't trying to save-face. Bringing the troops home is what needs to be done. If a guy down the line says he is Bin-Laden hopefully we would be better equipped to deal with it.

It's not all about having the militaristic means we have that by the tenfolds. It's having an able-bodied President & government body that wouldn't allow their own agendas to swindle them over and over again. Gov't cover-ups & the deaths of a cult-personality figure is a historical reality. Look at Chairman Mao's death as an example. There's a massive cover-up on how he actually died whether it was a natural death or murder. The Chinese gov't did not elaborate. Bin Laden to the terrorists is a cult of personality just like Mao was to the Chinese.

When Mussolini was assassinated they hanged him upside down by the ankles and the Italian people continued to stone the cadaver. When Saddam was captured and executed, the execution was a media field day and broad-casted the world over. Executions are innately show-and-tell. So why is it that Osama was buried at sea? I smell cover up. Three years ago the late Benzanir Bhutto exclaimed, "Osama was murdered."
