2. Naming your team after your best player is bound to 1. raise money 2. create a buzz around your team

3. L.A. doesnt have a connection to Clipper ships like San Diego did(where the name comes from)

4. They are in los angeles. lots of other "griffins" in L.A.

5. Imagine how cool that logo would be. Seriously. You could have a flying Griffin throwing it down like Blake Griffin does.

2. Being named the "walls" gives the announcers at WAS games a chance to say things like "And they ran into a wall today!" when talking about the other team.
